Located in a beautiful area of the country, Flusco Wood is nestled in woodland close to the iconic town of Ullswater. Offering sensational views across the Lake District, the place has been decorated elegantly throughout, and is the perfect escape for either families, friends, or couples looking for a relaxing place to stay with plenty to do in the local area.
Throughout, the lodges have been designed with a contemporary finish. Guests can enjoy a drink of something cold on the private outdoor verandah, and some properties even feature a private outdoor hot tub for an extra little indulgence. For when the weather's not so sunny, curl up inside and enjoy watching the wildlife of the beautiful rural area whilst you're tucked up.
Each lodge provides a true home from home, and with two bedrooms in each, you're welcome to bring along additional guests. The properties also boast luxury kitchens with modern appliances, comfortable living and dining spaces, and spectacular views across the Cumbrian countryside - all available at all times of the year for a peaceful retreat.
Onsite, there is a reception for plenty of tourist information and a shop that's open every day between April and November, for all those last minute bits and bobs you should need including a variety of food and a range of gifts from around the area. There's also a launderette which offers washing facilities, a dryer and ironing should you need to do any laundry during your visit, as well as a drying room for wet boots and coats, a boot wash facility, and a dishwashing area. For the kids, there's a children's play area as well as plenty of walks around the park. A current replanting programme is to attract wildlife to the new trees and plants in the area.
As the Gateway to the Lake District National Park, stunning Ullswater is perfect for a huge range of activities, including walking, mountain biking, canoeing, taking a trip on a steamer, or simply exploring the local area. No matter what you'd like to see and do, there's a huge range of attractions, including bustling market towns to explore, great pubs serving delicious drinks and food, charming hamlets, watersports, and beautiful scenery including waterfalls. Flusco Wood offers peace and tranquility from the vibrancy of the local towns, but rest assured they are within close reach for everything you could possibly need.

It was a great site, the lodges were brilliant, very modern and clean. Only thing that could of improved cleaning would to have access to a hoover throughout the stay as there wasnt really anything to clean with. However a little out of the way from anything. We had our puppy with us in a dog friendly lodge however she was able to get out due to the fencing around the lodge and the dog walking enclosed part wasnt very enclosed.
Lovely moden lodge with everything you need. A well looked after site with enclosed dog walking area. The hot tub is looked after daily
Would definitely go back lovely place helpful friendly staff

absolutely brilliant. will definitely be back
Lovely lodge very clean & tidy , hot tub great. Very peaceful & relaxing .
Lovely accommodation and beautiful location would definitely recommend
Upon arrival the woman who checked me in was extremely rude. I had the log cabin booked from Fri to Monday and the email received advised check in was from 4pm.
My mother was admitted to hospital and is currently fighting cancer which delayed my arrival to the Saturday. The weather on the north east was also treacherous and it was dangerous to drive the distance in the evening. At no point was a contact number provided for the accommodation so I was unable to ring and advise.
Despite apologising for the ‘late’ arrival and explaining the circumstances I was still met with hostility and an attitude l. It ruined the whole experience for me and I felt unable to approach the reception regarding my stay.
Had brilliant service from start to finish. Was nice and peaceful but not far from nearest town.
Top quality furnishings in lodge and loved the little touches of milk and coffee on arrival.
Fantastic break, fantastic lodge and lovely well kept grounds. Staff lovely and helpful and hot tub fantastic. It is in the middle of no where so dont expect things to be close although penrith is only 5 miles away
My new husband and I had a lovely time here. The staff were great the lodge was well equipped and the hot tub was amazing. We will be back.
Great place for walking (if the weathers ok and no 60 miles an hour winds). You need to drive to locations but all close or a beautiful drive.
Excellent cabin. Nice location. Perfect winter getaway!
