Visitor Reviews of Anchor Park

Douglas, Telford
Date of stay: 22nd May 2022
Good coastal location. Only 7 caravans on site, ours was the only one occupied during our stay in May. Beach just over the sand dune. Other than local dog walkers the extensive beach was virtually deserted. We were very satisfied with the peaceful break and enjoyed seeing all the wildlife.

Caravan was very tired, wouldn't of been too bad if everything that should work did but it didn't. We had a dog so we weren't expecting it to be pristine but have stayed in far nicer, cleaner and warmer dog friendly caravans for a lot less money. The insects (green lacewings) were relentless as despite placing as many outside as possible more kept appearing and we couldn't locate where they were coming from. There were heaters in the bedrooms but they didn't work when switched on so we slept on the sofa in the lounge and had gas fire on as it was so cold every night, thicker duvets/blankets would of helped. Only one light out of 4 worked in the kitchen and the boiler paperwork says it was last serviced in 2019 which also worried me. I think we made the best we could of it.

Access to the site is off the beaten track if you follow your satnav. There is a slightly better route but still narrow in places. Site and accommodation is quiet and peaceful. Steep climb over the dunes to the beach but lovely beaches to walk for miles. A very relaxing holiday and already looking forward to going back next year

An enjoyable short break with good weather. Access along the sandy track could be improved as that was a bit tricky to negotiate in our car.
Very quiet and peaceful; dunes and beach a couple of minutes on foot.
Outdoor picnic bench and table.
The caravan was comfortable and provided what we required for a self catering break
with a good range of equipment for us as a couple.

Old caravan but very clean!

Date of stay: 17th July 2017
The caravan was fine but with absolutely nothing on the camp site it really wasn't for us. Had to travel at least 3miles to get something to eat and if you returned late at night it was pitch black as no outside lights on park?

If you want a quiet peaceful holiday it's the place to go, we loved it. The caravan had everything you would need for a holiday. A lovely beach over the dune, we spent many an hour walking the dog and not meeting a soul. Places to visit close by make a nice day out. The owners Gill and Richard couldn't have made us and our dog more welcome and when we had car problems they were extremely helpful. Definitely going again.

Another wonderful stay at Anchor Park. This time we left the family at home and took the dogs. Long walks on endless sandy beaches. A fabulous place to escape from the world for a few days and recharge.
Looking forward to going again next year.
