Athelington Hall Farm comprises idyllic country lodges in a peaceful countryside setting within the county of Suffolk.  These well designed lodges will appeal to families and couples looking for a quiet escape from daily life.  Take advantage of the beautiful setting with glorious woodland walks just outside your lodge and it's also a great place for wildlife spotting.

When you want to get out and about then just 15 minutes drive away you will find the charming town of Framlington. This town is home to an impressive medieval castle well worth a visit and if you visit Framlington on a Sunday you will see the traditional Sunday market.

The lodges are well designed and suitable for year round breaks as they have central heating as well as double glazing.  Facilities include shared outdoor hot tub, games room and children's play area.  The lodges themselves have TV/DVD, microwave and verandah with garden furniture so you can enjoy relaxing outside on sunny days.

The Athelington Lodge is a good choice with 2 bedrooms and was refurbished in 2009.  It has one double room with en suite, one twin room and an additional family bathroom.  One of the real plus points of this lodge is the panoramic countryside views.

Fun Days Out in Suffolk

Africa Alive is one of Suffolk's largest attractions and one of the most popular in the whole of the UK.  The Africa themed park is very unique and gives visitors the chance to see some amazing creatures in a habitat which is as close to nature as possible. The park can be explored by car and on foot and Hyenas and Giraffes are just some of the animals you will encounter as you make your way around the park. Watch out for the lightning fast Cheetahs and keep your eyes peeled to spot the more reclusive creatures. During a day at Africa Alive there will be plenty of shows and educational talks taking place and if the weather turns then the indoor Adventure Play Ground comes in very handy. The site also has a well stocked Gift Shop and a Discovery Centre.

Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park is an amazing 50 acres area of stunning coastal parkland and is packed with family friendly rides and attractions. This park is an excellent choice for families with children of varied ages as there are a number of small rides for the little ones as well as some adrenaline boosting white knuckle rides for teenagers. As well as rides the site hosts some fantastic shows including the ever popular Sea Lion and Parrot encounters. At Halloween, Christmas and Easter other themed shows can also be enjoyed.  The site also has a good range of places to eat and drink whether you are looking to spend a leisurely hour relaxing with a meal or just grab a quick snack.

Everything about our stay was brilliant, especially the hot tub and the peacefulness.

The sofas were a little tired compared to the rest of the lodge but were still comfy.

The beds were very comfy, I don't usually sleep when I am away but had no problem here.

It was great to have a bath in the main bathroom and an ensuite shower in the master bedroom.

I wasn't expecting any facilities at all but there was a nice games room with table tennis, air hockey, darts etc.

We all loved our stay, and it was great that the dog could run close to the lodge.
