Bockenfield Country Park is situated between the stunning northeast coastline and spectacular Northumberland National Park. The rural countryside setting is bordered by ancient woodland and the park is a haven for many species of wildlife.

These holiday homes are nestled in a beautiful setting overlooking a fresh bubbling stream and are perfect for a comfortable and relaxing break at any time of the year. Choose from different styles of accommodation. The Warwick Lodge sleeps 6.  The Felton and the Burgham are caravans designed to look like lodges. The Burgham sleeps 6 and the Felton sleeps 4. All of the accommodation comes with flatscreen TV, DVD player, double glazing and central heating.  In addition each lodge comes with it's own verandah and garden furniture so you can relax with a drink or meal outdoors.

The stunning coastline offers miles of golden uncrowded sandy beaches and there are more castles in this area than anywhere else in the country.  This includes Alnwick Castle and Gardens, the majestic setting for the Harry Potter films which is a great day out for all the family. Just 500m away from the park is the PGA golf course at Burgham Park.

Fun Days Out in Northumberland

Conundrum Farm

With easy access from the A1 this lovely farm just north of Berwick makes a fantastic family day out.  Follow the farm trail and meet an array of friendly farm animals.  Kids will also enjoy the indoor and outdoor play areas, pet barn and tractor circuit.  The admission fee is excellent value and you will get a free bag of food for the animals and a bag of fish food for the trouts in the fish pond. When you want a bite to eat, the licensed restaurant is the place to go with quality home cooking and a charming location in some of the converted farm buildings.

Go Ape Northumberland

Go Ape! has really taken off and become one of the most popular attractions in the UK.  The Northumberland course is set in the stunning grounds of Matfin Hall.  Described as a high wire forest adventure this really is one for the more daring as the course takes place right up in the tree tops.  Giant tree top obstacle courses include ladders, bridges, tunnels and some of the country's best zip lines.  You will be provided with all safety equipment and training on site.

This year we had decided to sacrifice the kids clubs/entertainment for the spa. It did not disappoint. The spa however could have done with a step to allow easier access.
Ideal location to explore the surrounding area and perfectly quiet.
Our caravan was clean although lacked a few essentials including a veg peeler, hooks to hang towels. Also felt that having 3 young children we were right next to the burn (which we knew about) but there was no fence. It got very high due to the rain.
Ironically our caravan was named Ruby which is the name of our daughter.

Clean and very comfortable caravan situated by a small beck. Only let down was the lack of a microwave and limited crockery. Only three beakers and no teapot or milk jug in a caravan for four not ideal. Outside furniture rather old but enjoyed sitting out catching the evening sun. Would come back again. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
What an absolute delight this place is! We arrived late as staff had kindly warmed the caravan up for us and waiting with the door open. The kids absolutely loved it, cracking location and park facilities superb! Only downside there was no leaflets about local things to do in the caravan, but other than that absolutely superb! I’ve recommended to everyone I know and we will be back! Thank you
Lovely caravan; very helpful staff; nice pirate ship & zip wire. Peaceful site; great location to nearby attractions
Stayed with my family. Was running late, the lady on the phone was friendly and receptive, she put the heating on and was there when called. Very helpful staff, neat and tidy.
Beautiful caravan very clean
A beautiful location my only criticism was the internet service for which I paid twice for, I was assured I would be re-imbursed but this has not been forthcoming, I wouldn't mind but for 2 of the days we had no connection at all.
