A hidden gem! Nestling in peaceful woodland on the edge of the Peak District National Park well off the beaten track these lodges enjoy uninterrupted views of Coombes Rocks and offer the perfect rural retreat.

Picturesque Charlesworth Village with local shops and pubs is just a short walk away and glorious countryside and moorland walks unfold from the doorstep.

You can enjoy some superb days out in this area including the Chatsworth Farmyard Playground just 20 miles from the lodges.  This place will especially delight younger children where they can view an array of farmyard animals and play on the woodland adventure playground.  A little further afield you will find Matlock Farm Park which is a 600 acre working farm.  Here there are a wide selection of animals, play areas and even a go kart track.  The Wildlife Park in Staffordshire and The Heights of Abraham in Matlock are also well worth a visit

The lodges here are both luxurious and stylish and provide a restful haven from the stresses of daily life.  The Treetops Lodge enjoys an open plan kitchen and living area and has two bedrooms.  The Coombes View is a similar lodge and offers panoramic country views.  We love the Coombes View VIP which is a luxury lodge with the benefit of a private outdoor hot tub and country views.  All of the lodges sleep 4 and come with TV, DVD and well equipped kitchens.

The Peak District National Park is the ideal place to relax and explore.  The stunning scenery will take your breath away and there is the opportunity to take part in ranger led guides and events.  These are ideal if you are new to the area or only staying a short time and want to see the best sights and walks.

This is a top class theme park with plenty to do for the whole family.  From thrilling rides to more gentle activities for the little ones this place is ideal.  The best thing is that 50% of their attractions are under cover so the British weather needn't spoil the fun.

We stayed in Oak Cottage which is very close to the log cabins.
Received a warm and friendly welcome upon arrival.
The cottage was beautiful, fitted out to a high spec and very spacious.
Hot tub was large and a good temperature at all time (have seen issues in other places with the temperature).
10 minute stroll to the local village which had a couple of small shops and a pub.
Would definitely return.

An extremely relaxing week, the only issue was it went too quickly! The hot tub was the main reason we booked the lodge and it didn't disappoint - we used it at least 2/3 times a day. The lodge itself was extremely spacious and well laid out, very clean on arrival with the hot tub cleaned and refilled.

The staff that greeted us were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble.

Will definitely be back next year... or sooner!
Jonathan
Amazing! So peaceful and quiet!
Sharon
We had a wonderful weekend, staff were very helpful and friendly. The surroundings were beautiful. Only small thing the hot tub didn’t fully reach temp on night one but only a small issue!
Angeline
4pm is a bit late to be let in to your cabin and 10am is a bit early to have to leave
Rachel
We had a lovely time with our children and friends, would definitely return at a later date

Amazing cottage, Amazing location! The cottage was so romantic!
Carol
The Old Barn at Charlesworth was stunning! From the outstanding scenery too the welcoming homely and luxurious details, equipment and style of the Barn itself. We would highly recommend this accomadation. Very peaceful surroundings. The hot tub was wonderful. Very clean and of high standard. The owners were lovely and made us feel very welcome. We are definitely going back!
Colin
Very nice location. The lodge was perfect. Just a couple of minor issues on our stay but these were sorted very quickly so ten out of ten for customer service !! Very quiet at night on our stay, the only noise was a nearby owl ! Would certainly recommend .
Emma
Such a lovely place home from home warm and cosy, hot tub was awesome Would definitely recommend
Dee
Lovely lodge with beautiful surroundings. Cooker fine but hob is dire and needs renewing. No indication when hot or warm on hob itself or leaflet in drawer. Apart from that our stay was great and we loved our stay there Ă nd would return again. Cannot fault anything else and would return again.
