A hidden gem! Nestling in peaceful woodland on the edge of the Peak District National Park well off the beaten track these lodges enjoy uninterrupted views of Coombes Rocks and offer the perfect rural retreat.

Picturesque Charlesworth Village with local shops and pubs is just a short walk away and glorious countryside and moorland walks unfold from the doorstep.

You can enjoy some superb days out in this area including the Chatsworth Farmyard Playground just 20 miles from the lodges.  This place will especially delight younger children where they can view an array of farmyard animals and play on the woodland adventure playground.  A little further afield you will find Matlock Farm Park which is a 600 acre working farm.  Here there are a wide selection of animals, play areas and even a go kart track.  The Wildlife Park in Staffordshire and The Heights of Abraham in Matlock are also well worth a visit

The lodges here are both luxurious and stylish and provide a restful haven from the stresses of daily life.  The Treetops Lodge enjoys an open plan kitchen and living area and has two bedrooms.  The Coombes View is a similar lodge and offers panoramic country views.  We love the Coombes View VIP which is a luxury lodge with the benefit of a private outdoor hot tub and country views.  All of the lodges sleep 4 and come with TV, DVD and well equipped kitchens.

The Coombes View lodge was lovely. Spacious and clean. Big bed really comfortable and the telly in the main bedroom was a nice touch as it had Netflix on. The telly in the living room was a little temperamental but nothing that bothered us. Really great place to stay. Plus the hot tub was amazing.

We had a fabulous break and loved the Amour Lodge - we would definitely come back! There is just one slight change we think could be made to make the lodge itself absolutely perfect, that's the inclusion of a cosy rug and coffee table just in front of the main sofa within the lounge area. We played some board games one night whilst watching the television and it would have been nice to have had somewhere to rest them on, as well as a cup of tea! Apart from that, all the other facilities were excellent!

We stayed in Oak Cottage which is very close to the log cabins.
Received a warm and friendly welcome upon arrival.
The cottage was beautiful, fitted out to a high spec and very spacious.
Hot tub was large and a good temperature at all time (have seen issues in other places with the temperature).
10 minute stroll to the local village which had a couple of small shops and a pub.
Would definitely return.

Stayed in the Armour Deluxe from 18th to 22nd December 2017. Everything about it was perfect. The cabin is really spacious and was lovely and clean throughout. I loved that there was a Christmas tree all beautifully decorated! Can’t fault our stay at all! We will definitely return.

Lovely place. Visited here more than once. Perfect location in a great area. Clean and well furnished lodge can't ask for more. Will return again.
Bethany
Lovely lodge, clean and spacious. One of the tv's had Netflix which was a nice surprise, and the hot tub was glorious. The road in to Charlesworth lodges was a single dirt track for a while before you reach the gates. Not an issue at all, the place was lovely. We saw the staff very little but the ladies we met were helpful.
JULIA
