A hidden gem! Nestling in peaceful woodland on the edge of the Peak District National Park well off the beaten track these lodges enjoy uninterrupted views of Coombes Rocks and offer the perfect rural retreat.

Picturesque Charlesworth Village with local shops and pubs is just a short walk away and glorious countryside and moorland walks unfold from the doorstep.

You can enjoy some superb days out in this area including the Chatsworth Farmyard Playground just 20 miles from the lodges.  This place will especially delight younger children where they can view an array of farmyard animals and play on the woodland adventure playground.  A little further afield you will find Matlock Farm Park which is a 600 acre working farm.  Here there are a wide selection of animals, play areas and even a go kart track.  The Wildlife Park in Staffordshire and The Heights of Abraham in Matlock are also well worth a visit

The lodges here are both luxurious and stylish and provide a restful haven from the stresses of daily life.  The Treetops Lodge enjoys an open plan kitchen and living area and has two bedrooms.  The Coombes View is a similar lodge and offers panoramic country views.  We love the Coombes View VIP which is a luxury lodge with the benefit of a private outdoor hot tub and country views.  All of the lodges sleep 4 and come with TV, DVD and well equipped kitchens.

This is a top class theme park with plenty to do for the whole family.  From thrilling rides to more gentle activities for the little ones this place is ideal.  The best thing is that 50% of their attractions are under cover so the British weather needn't spoil the fun.

An extremely relaxing week, the only issue was it went too quickly! The hot tub was the main reason we booked the lodge and it didn't disappoint - we used it at least 2/3 times a day. The lodge itself was extremely spacious and well laid out, very clean on arrival with the hot tub cleaned and refilled.

The staff that greeted us were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble.

Will definitely be back next year... or sooner!

The week we spent at Charlesworth and the surrounding area was spoiled by unpredictable weather but the luxury lodge made up for that and we spent a lot of time relaxing in the property.

Beautiful lodge & the hot tub was just great. The lodge was well equipped & location was peaceful & relaxing. Only negative is that there were lots of cobwebs higher up on the beams & high windows but this didn't detract from our lovely stay.

Amazing if I could give more than 10 then I would. Lodge was luxurious and stunning location. Wife loved very private hot tub off bedroom French doors. We stayed on same site a few years ago in woodland lodge which was superb but this one even outshone that. Would go again in a heartbeat

The cottage is beautiful, clean and well maintained. Quiet and peaceful environment. Only downside was hot tub use was only permitted upto 10pm and this information was not included in the information pack.

Cleanliness was great apart from a few glasses were dirty due to dishwasher needing rinse aid and salt.
There is also no Toilet roll holders in bathrooms and also no towel holder in the ensuite.

Lovely lodge in a great location. Peace and quiet and only a short drive to all the Peak district has to offer. Kids loved the hot tub and the facilities in the lodge were exceptional.
Anthony
Overall rating would have been 10 if a shaving mirror, a toilet roll holder and table placemats had been provided. All other facilities were excellent! Main problem with the surroundings was the 350 yard single lane dirt track to access the site! Only met one member of staff for 5 minutes when booking in!
Samantha
We loved every minute of our break, however there was some work being done on the cottage next to us so there was a few people walking past. How ever fully equipped with everything you need.
Gary
We had a last minute break and are so glad we did. This place is amazing and the cottage was perfect. We are definitely coming back, the sooner the better!
Victoria
