With an enviable location around a mile from the ancient market town of Newton Stewart, sit Conifer Lodges. If you're looking to escape the daily grind and really get away from it all then we think this park is perfect. You will feel like you are in a stunning secluded area surrounded by Pine Trees and yet you'll have plenty of amenities close by. The best of both worlds!
An 18 hole golf course adjoins the park and there are many other courses including the famous Turnberry less than an hour's drive away. Anglers enjoy free fishing at nearby Palnure Burn together with abundant opportunities for sea and coarse fishing. There is superb walking in the unspoilt Galloway Forest and excellent mountain bike trails in Kirroughtree. Sandy beaches, sheltered coves, picturesque fishing villages, castles, historic monuments and lovely gardens are all close by.
The lodges provide a luxurious base for your stay. We like the Conifer Lodge which sleeps 4 in one double and one twin bedroom. The Lady Galloway lodge is also recommended which is a lovely open plan lodge with CD, fridge freezer, washing machine and BBQ. All of the lodges come with TV and DVD player, heating throughout and verandah with garden furniture.

Landmark Theme Park is a popular family attraction in Scotland and is a great choice for those with children of varied ages. The site is packed with attractions to keep the whole family amused. Landmark is rather unique as a theme park as it is based around nature. Activities include Tree Topping and Rock climbing although there are also some more traditional theme park rides such as a log flume. The park is abundant with nature including Red Squirrels and Clydesdale Horses and there is also a new Pinewood Grill for tasty snacks and a Gift Shop.
The amazing Loudoun Castle Theme Park is the largest in Scotland taking up a staggering 500 acres of glorious countryside. The park is suitable for visitors of all ages and has an excellent choice of rides including thrilling Rollercoasters. The site also hosts some fantastic family shows including the popular 'Walk the Plank' High Dive Show. This place is much more than a theme park though, and younger children in particular will love the Dougal McDougal's farm area where the inhabitants include friendly goats, pigs and llamas as well as rabbits and other small pets.
Brilliant place for a getaway. Will be back very soon.
Love coming to conifers for our festive break
Loved the whole experience, it was so relaxing and luxurious. My birthday was the best. Lodge is so romantic and well worth the money.
Lodges are very modern and cosy
Comfortable lodge close to reception and the laundry
Been at lady Galloway lodges before but this was our first time at the lord Galloway lodges and we definitely will be booking the lord ones from now on.
Was very well laid out and privacy at hot tub which was great . Only criticism is very dark, when big lights on too bright lighting could do with a couple more lamps in living area.
Very good lodge and hot tub
Overall - fabulous.
We will almost definitely go again
Loved lodge although lacked storage space for clothes and not many coat hangers
Was very good, not enough cooking pots were only three? apart from that, very good.
Lovely place and the small touches made it perfect. Home from home feeling.
Fab place for rest and relaxation.
1st class accommodation.
loved our whole experience only comment i would make is that i think the hot tub would benefit from a canopy to protect you from the rain.
Perfect chilled weekend with friends and family. Lodge was lovely and had everything we needed and the hot tub was an added bonus. Clean and all the facilities we needed. Would definitely return :)
Myself and a group of girl friends stayed in the Lord Galloway Lodge for 3 nights recently. The Lodge was beautiful and so well equipped. Everything was perfect really. The only disappointment was we could’nt all fit in the Hot tub together. I would highly reccomend this Park and the Lodges.
Stayed here for a long weekend in November, been many times now, Staff are always great. Lodge was fine could be doing with new carpets in bedrooms, the curtains were all stained like yellow stuff of them. Heating was brilliant had to turn it off most days as was too warm. Hot tub was brilliant as always :-) Newton Stewart town only a 10 min walk which is ideal to get out of lodge for a while few pubs as well. Would stay again.
Great lodge and hot tub just went for chilled weekend
Great holiday. Will definitely come back again. Also loved the hot tub
