Fun Days Out in Ayrshire

Landmark Theme Park is a popular family attraction in Scotland and is a great choice for those with children of varied ages. The site is packed with attractions to keep the whole family amused. Landmark is rather unique as a theme park as it is based around nature. Activities include Tree Topping and Rock climbing although there are also some more traditional theme park rides such as a log flume. The park is abundant with nature including Red Squirrels and Clydesdale Horses and there is also a new Pinewood Grill for tasty snacks and a Gift Shop.

The amazing Loudoun Castle Theme Park is the largest in Scotland taking up a staggering 500 acres of glorious countryside. The park is suitable for visitors of all ages and has an excellent choice of rides including thrilling Rollercoasters. The site also hosts some fantastic family shows including the popular 'Walk the Plank' High Dive Show.  This place is much more than a theme park though, and younger children in particular will love the Dougal McDougal's farm area where the inhabitants include friendly goats, pigs and llamas as well as rabbits and other small pets.

Excellent lodge, very clean and comfortable.Having two bathrooms, one with a bath /shower was great for the younger children in our party. The hot tub was fantastic and the kids couldn't wait to get in it each day, despite showery windy weather. The location of the lodges at the top of the park was great, looking out on to the fields from the decking.Would love to come back again, plenty to do and see in the area.

We had an almost brand new caravan - very clean and had all amenities and beds were super comfy - we stayed with 2 small dogs so often get put awful caravans as for some reason places think we deserve dirty place just because we have dogs - but not at crofthead!! They treated us like any other couple and it was like Home from home for all 4 of us - thank you
Simone
