Surrounded by magnificent scenery on the shores of Loch Oich and Loch Lochy with the wooded hills of the Great Glen behind, this park offers an excellent variety of water sports and land based activities, together with the comfort and convenience of holiday lodges.

There are plenty of family friendly activities provided by the licenced activity centre. Great Glen is open all year round and the scenes and activities make for a perfect destination whatever the season. There is good local skiing (from beginners to advanced) on Aonach Mor ski resort nearby.

Accommodation is an excellent range of lodges and cottages. The cottages are set in their own private grounds on the edge of the park. The Glen View Cottage sleeps 6 and is a semi detached brick built cottage with loch views. For larger parties then the Struan Cottage is ideal as it sleeps 8. If you prefer lodge accommodation then we like Loch View Lodge which is a spacious lodge on the banks of Loch Oich and sleeps 7. Other nice lodges include Glengarry Lodge which sleeps 5 and Oice View and Loch Oich Lodges which sleep 6. All of the lodges have TV and select lodges have DVD players. There is an indoor heated pool on site.

Fun Days Out in Inverness-Shire

Landmark Theme Park is a popular family attraction in Scotland and is a great choice for those with children of varied ages. The site is packed with attractions to keep the whole family amused. Landmark is rather unique as a theme park as it is based around nature. Activities include Tree Topping and Rock climbing although there are also some more traditional theme park rides such as a log flume. The park is abundant with nature including Red Squirrels and Clydesdale Horses and there is also a new Pinewood Grill for tasty snacks and a Gift Shop.

The amazing Loudoun Castle Theme Park is the largest in Scotland taking up a staggering 500 acres of glorious countryside. The park is suitable for visitors of all ages and has an excellent choice of rides including thrilling Rollercoasters. The site also hosts some fantastic family shows including the popular 'Walk the Plank' High Dive Show.  This place is much more than a theme park though, and younger children in particular will love the Dougal McDougal's farm area where the inhabitants include friendly goats, pigs and llamas as well as rabbits and other small pets.

Great Glen Water Park Reviews

Date of stay: 27th October 2017
Accommodation type: Struan Cottage
A lovely cottage for two families with six children aged 3-15! Bedrooms upstairs are enormous. The hot tub was a great hit with everyone. Perhaps needs a few items that are child-friendly (plastic cups at least) and there were only eight chairs around dining table when it accommodates ten. More cutlery needed plus baking trays and better knives but overall a great place to stay and we would certainly stay again.

enjoyable stay - hot tub was fantastic - take towels for swimming as we didn't take any & had to pay! Cabin very clean but needed updating
Emily
A lovely half term break for two families (10 people). The hot tub was a real hit, three of the children enjoyed the swimming pool (even though it is rather basic and on the small side) and the track opposite and along the canal was perfect for a 5km run as well as a bike ride with the kids. A lovely self catering cottage with helpful reception staff.

This place is special for its peace and small scale. A good base to explore from and relax in.
