Fun Days Out in Yorkshire Moors & Coast

Jorvik Viking Centre

Jorvik Viking Centre is a fun and educational attraction offering visitors the chance to learn all about the Viking-Age city of Jorvik. Thanks to the Archaeologists from York Archaeological Trust the amazing houses, workshops and backyards of the Viking-Age city of Jorvik are on display and give a clear insight to the way of life all those years ago.  The site aims to offer an interactive experience with the state of the art time capsule and the blacksmith's furnace being the top attractions.

Scarborough Sea Life and Marine Sanctuary
If you are enjoying a lodge break in the Yorkshire Moors and Coast then a day trip to the Scarborough Sea Life and Marine Sanctuary highly recommended. This centre is one of the regions most popular attractions and is educational as well as fun. Visitors will enjoy a journey beneath the waves, meeting many strange, beautiful and fascinating creatures of the deep. As well as mighty sharks and beautiful rays guests can get up close to some more common creatures including star fish and can also meet the otters, seals and penguins at feeding time. The site also has children's play area and picnic tables as well as a restaurant and souvenir shop. Family tickets cost 46.80 but the Tourist Information Centres in Scarborough, Whitby or Filey often offer fantastic discounts.

Helen
A well presented & spacious lodge in tranquil surroundings. Plenty to do in the local area but you do need your own transport to get to places.
Laura
We loved every part of our weekend. Gorgeous lodge, which was even better than we expected.
Janet
This is our 3rd weekend break in the Teal Lodge, and our 7th stay on the park over the last 5 years. The park is one of the best we have stayed in, from check-in to leaving the staff are just fantastic, any problems or issues are dealt with promptly. The lodges are always spotlessly clean, well equipped and comfortable. The maintenance of the hot the Hot Tub is just superb, constantly checked and always up to temperature upon arrival. To sum up the Park, the staff and the Lodges are just one of the places to spend a break and good value for money.
Sharron
Third year running and have booked for a forth, lovely extended family hot tub weekend
Amanda
Loved this holiday. Definitely booking again
Debbie
Lakeside lodges are really high quality I booked for my birthday The teal lodge was spacious clean and well maintained Large 50” screen tv provided a cinema experience on a dark winters night The hot tub was hot so spacious and clean Lodge was kept warm
Margaret
We spent 4 days Mon - Friday in January ( two couples). The lodge was comfortable and well furnished. The hot tub was a great antidote to the cold weather. The maintenance staff responded immediately when I mentioned that some lights weren't working. The views over the lake were spectacular and the park itself was well designed. The gated entrance contributed to the security of the site and I felt confident walking the dogs at all times of the day and evening. We hope to return later in the year.
Venetia
Just a perfect relaxation break.
Julie
Really enjoyed the cabin and it's surrounding area Having been to many different lodges I was slightly disappointed with the fact you couldn't take drinks into the hot tub. Other places provide plastic wine glasses for said purpose. Also the fact that they forgot to leave us a welcome pack meant we'd no tea towel, dishwasher tablet or washing up liquid. There was no robes in the two main bedrooms either or tumblers in the bathrooms. Unfortunately my friend bought a new top and forgot to pack it , yet the site manager said no one had seen it! On the whole the price was right
