Laxfield Lodges offer a charming and luxurious holiday base in the gorgeous Suffolk countryside.  The tranquil setting will really appeal to anyone looking for a holiday with an "away from it all" feel.  The location is ideal if you want to to be within walking distance of a local town too as you are just a ten minute walk from Laxfield.  Here you will find amenities including 2 lovely pubs - ideal for Sunday lunch.

A little further afield but still close enough to explore are some pretty villages as well as Framlingham Castle.

Relax into your stay in one of the gorgeous lodges on offer.  The Sunrise 1 is a luxury lodge with one double and one twin bedroom.  The open plan living area is modern and spacious and there are patio doors leading to outside decking so you can make the most of the fresh air.

Locally there are some fantastic days out.  We recommend a trip to the Suffolk Owl Sanctuary where you can see over 60 owls as well as red squirrels. There is a woodland walk, mini maze and activities for children too.

Our Top Tip
"Easton Farm Park is around 8 miles from Laxfield Lodges and is a fun day out with pony rides, lamb feeding and barrell train rides."

Fun Days Out in Suffolk

Africa Alive is one of Suffolk's largest attractions and one of the most popular in the whole of the UK.  The Africa themed park is very unique and gives visitors the chance to see some amazing creatures in a habitat which is as close to nature as possible. The park can be explored by car and on foot and Hyenas and Giraffes are just some of the animals you will encounter as you make your way around the park. Watch out for the lightning fast Cheetahs and keep your eyes peeled to spot the more reclusive creatures. During a day at Africa Alive there will be plenty of shows and educational talks taking place and if the weather turns then the indoor Adventure Play Ground comes in very handy. The site also has a well stocked Gift Shop and a Discovery Centre.

Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park is an amazing 50 acres area of stunning coastal parkland and is packed with family friendly rides and attractions. This park is an excellent choice for families with children of varied ages as there are a number of small rides for the little ones as well as some adrenaline boosting white knuckle rides for teenagers. As well as rides the site hosts some fantastic shows including the ever popular Sea Lion and Parrot encounters. At Halloween, Christmas and Easter other themed shows can also be enjoyed.  The site also has a good range of places to eat and drink whether you are looking to spend a leisurely hour relaxing with a meal or just grab a quick snack.

The perfect place to explore the Suffolk coast and country! Beautiful lodge, well-equipped, clean and homely. The hot tub is amazing!
The only issue with the furniture was the leather sofa was flaking- which got everywhere!

Very lovely place, we really enjoyed ourselves. We missed on the web site that it had a hot tub so we did not come prepared for it. Great place to stay.

What a beautiful lodge!
A proper 'log cabin' surrounded by empty fields and wildlife. All you can hear at night are owls, very peaceful. I didn't meet one of the owners, but I met Gary who shew us around, is very welcoming and just a very lovely guy. Every last detail was thought of in the lodge, it was perfect and I've never been so relaxed. This lodge allows pets which usually we would avoid but you'd never tell. Cleaned so well and no pet smell! We will be back (and we NEVER visit the same place twice usually)

Very civilised, we could'nt fault the cabin, it had everything. Even fresh home cooked bread, milk, sugar etc, etc, etc. Our hosts were friendly, informative and helpful although the weather was Terrible. The wild life was a very pleasant especially to us townies.
Emma
Lovely and relaxing Would definitly go back.
Karen
Over all an excellent stay. Had a slight problem with the hot tub and were unable to reach anyone to sort it out as no phone signal and nobody available all day and evening. This would have ruined our time away had my husband been unable to fix it. Would not put us off revisiting and Gary made us feel very welcome indeed.
Sally
Lovely relaxing break.
Anthony
Excellent accommodation in a lovely location with friendly hosts would definitely go back to stay in the future.

My favourite part of the country and this lodge was perfect to explore it! Couldn't fault anything with it and Gary was more than helpful and didn't want to come home!
