New Forest Lodges in Dorset benefit from a magnificent location on the edge of the stunning New Forest National Park and are a real haven of peace and tranquility. The exclusive cluster of lodges offer the perfect luxury escape and are recommended to families, couples and groups of friends looking to explore the region.

The lodges are dotted around the landscaped grounds and many overlook the private lakes. All of the lodges here boast sumptuous interior design, contemporary features and private verandahs with hot tubs.  There is really no better place to relax and unwind.

If you can drag yourself away from the comfort of your lodge then you will find plenty to see and do close by. The breathtaking woodlands and heathlands are teaming with wildlife and are a paradise for nature lovers. Walking and horse riding are available locally and the quaint market town of Ringwood is well worth a visit. We also recommend a trip to the sub-tropical Gardens and Swannery at Abbotsbury and the Bovington Tank Museum.

Dorchester Lodges sleep 6 while Wimborne sleep 4. Both have modern fitted kitchens and open plan living areas with woodburning stove. The large sheltered verandahs with barbecues and outdoor furniture offer the perfect place for alfresco dining and the hot tubs are ideal for relaxing after a day of exploring.

Our Top Tip
"Don't forget your camera when exploring the stunning heathlands."

Fun Days Out in Hampshire

This is a really fun and memorable attraction which is suitable for day trips or short breaks.  You can buy your tickets online which will help you beat the queues especially in school holidays as well as save money.  With a whole host of attractions and thrilling rides there might not be enough time in the day!  Exciting rides include the Edge and The Cobra.  More family friendly rides for younger children include the Magic Carpet Ride and the Flying Frog.  We are sure the whole family will have fun at Paultons so check out their website for the latest opening times and admission costs.

New Forest Wildlife Park should be high on your list of places to visit if you are visiting this region.  Stretched out over 25 acres of stunning woodland you can wander around and come face to face with various species of wildlife.  Highlights include the North American
River otter; European wolf, 12 species of owls, badgers, foxes and deer.  When you need to re-charge your batteries head to the Woodland Bakehouse Tearoom for delicious meals and light bites.  There is also a charming gift shop.

Monkey World is not only a local attraction but the work they carry out is amazing.  Rescuing and rehabilitating monkeys and assisting governments around the world to stop the smuggling of primates are just some of the purposes of the centre. You get to see the primates themselves many of which have become famous from appearing on the TV show Monkey World - a documentary about this place. Open year round we think this is one of best attractions in Dorset and you even get the chance to adopt a monkey if you choose.

This family orientated museum is dedicated to Teddy Bears both old and new Edward Bear and his family of people sized bears are one of the main attractions.  You can buy teddy bear gifts from the quaint shop including top notch brands.  The Steiff Teddy Bear and Merrythought bears are very popular.  Open 7 days a week all year round (except 25th and 26th December) this is a perfect all weather place to visit.

Kingston Maurward Gardens and Animal Park is a magical place to visit with grand gardens and plenty of animals to meet.  From goats and ponies to alpacas and pot bellied pigs this attraction is excellent value for money.  You can feel free to explore the grounds too which are especially lovely on sunny days.  You will see majestic floral displays, stone terraces, a temple and even a lake.

Spent a brilliant few days here with family and friends. 2 young children with us who loved the hot tub and the accommodation was first class. No need to even leave the cabin as long as you have enough provisions with you. All of the features you could want are all provided in the home. There was even an iron.
The farm shop has some excellent meat and basic provisions for sale and I recommend the pies, mmm, delicious.
We didn't bring a pet with us but we found the cabin very clean and could not detect any pet smell or dog hair which was good.
Definately looking at booking again sometime. Lack of mobile phone signal could be an issue for some but it is possible to get a signal if you walk up to the farm near the cow sheds or up the hill behind the cabins.

Very peaceful relaxing holiday, my husband loved the fishing on site and we both enjoyed the hot tub and sauna. Lovely lodge with everything we needed. Very nice touch was the homemade cake waiting for us in the kitchen. We will definitely be booking this lodge again

Great holiday with lots of little touches that made it better than other places I have stayed. Little things such as a cake and fresh bread, washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets. The hot tub was also a great bonus and it didn't feel overlooked at all.

We had a 4 day break on gold oak farm Dorset, there are plenty of places to go & do as a day out,but we chose to just switch off and relax No WiFi,No phone signal! Great just what was needed.

Perfect peaceful getaway, but with all mod cons in the lodge and great food and drink on the doorstep!

I could not wish for a better break away.. the lodge was absolutely perfect and the staff on site were remarkable.. looking forward to the next break away there..
Stefan
Fantastic break. Cabin was perfect. Hot tub was brilliant. Setting unbeatable.

Had a wonderful stay. The lodge was everything we expected and so much more. John and Deb are a lovely couple who couldn't do more for us. The food from their farm shop was absolutely devine. We have already recommended it to friends and family and will definitely be returning next yr.

Fabulous lodge, very peaceful, hot tub was blissful, log burner amazing though it got so hot one night we slept (in October) with the bedroom doors and windows wide open, it feels very safe as so far out of the way. The only thing I would say is missing, and they are minor, is salt and pepper in the lodge, we brought some amazing steaks, I don’t usually cook on holiday but did these, some basic condiments to compliment would have been useful. I would also say there is nowhere to put wet and muddy boots and coats, we really struggled to dry out one of my sons welly boots because they are lined and somewhere to put wet and muddy boots would have been great especially as both my sons got soaked when jumping in muddy puddles (as in up to their waist), the washing machine was well used. This is a peaceful holiday with no WiFi or phone signal, it was amazing to be off grid but not far (2 miles) to the local town and shops so not isolated, I checked my emails once a day and it has been a very long time since I could say that. There are no real extras but the staff are very friendly and helpful, shop well priced and items produced at the farm. This is a working farm and so looks like it when you arrive but up at the Lodges it is pure peace and quiet.
Aimee
Absolutely brilliant holiday. The owners were really accommodating and you can see that they really care about keeping the beauty of the area whilst catering for holidaymakers

We really enjoyed our stay and found the owners very friendly and helpful. Site is very quiet and peaceful. Lodge nice and clean. We enjoyed the freshly baked bread and cake left for our arrival. Plenty of places to visit from the site, Poole, Bournemourth , Boscombe and Swanage, loved the steam train ride. We enjoyed the taproom at the local brewery, worth a visit. Only downside is phone signal is very poor and Wifi available only at the farm shop.

The lodge was very well equipped with everything we needed. Lovely furniture. We loved the fact that our lodge was not over looked and very private and peaceful

Debbie and her family were wonderful we had a near fatal car crash whilst there, we couldn't have asked for nicer people to support us. They helped us with everything even making sure our dog was safe whilst we were taken to hospital. The lodge was perfect we just wish we were able to enjoy it more (injuries).
