Part of the exclusive Autograph Lodge Collection - Nunland Hillside Lodges offer the opportunity for a relaxing  and stylish lodge break in one of the most stunning areas of Scotland.

Enjoy walks and plenty of places to explore right on your doorstep. The lodges themselves have a peaceful and secluded atmosphere making them an ideal escape from the stresses of daily life.  The views of the foothills and forests are breathtaking.

Although the lodges have an "away from it all" feel, you are actually just 6 miles from the lively market town of Dumfries, which makes a fantastic day out.  And when it comes to eating and drinking you can choose from numerous fine pubs and restaurants within easy reach.  The charming and ancient town of Castle Douglas is just 15 miles away.

The lodge accommodation is of a very high standard with a selection of stylish lodges to choose from.  The Valley Lodges have charming traditional exteriors and work well in contrast to the modern furnishings inside.

For couples we love the Mabie Valley Lodge which has been completely refurbished in 2012.  With a stylish interior, open plan living space and mod cons such as a flatscreen TV/DVD, this is a fantastic choice for a romantic getaway.  The gorgeous free standing bath is a real highlight.

Other options include the Cairn Valley Lodge and the Criffel Hilltop Lodge which sleep 4.  The Criffel Hilltop Lodge is new for 2012 and enjoys an elevated position.  The modern interior and spacious living space are sure to impress. For larger parties the Galloway Hilltop Lodge is recommended as it offers space and style, and sleeps up to 6.

Our Top Tip
"If you're celebrating a special occasion there is a Pamper Pack available to purchase which includes Champagne, flowers, fluffy bathrobes, homemade local chocolates and Castle Douglas traditional Scottish butter shortbread.  "
