As well as the spectacular coastline and fabulous beaches, popular with surfers, swimmers and sunbathers, North Cornwall has an abundance of hidden valleys, superb walking and cycle paths and lively resorts. Perranporth Bungalows sit nestled in secluded woodland, but they're also close to miles of coastal footpaths and not far from busy Perranporth with its beach bars, golf course and surf lessons.

Perranporth Bungalows has full Wi-Fi access and a pool table on site and Falmouth has an excellent variety of places to eat and drink. The Pandora Inn dates from the 13th century and is really atmospheric with its ancient beamed ceilings and fireplaces - plus they source a lot of their produce locally.

Bredon Plus Bungalow is a detached bungalow for four, with a double and a twin room plus a small garden area with picnic bench. The outdoor hot tub is perfect for those times when you want to relax and enjoy the views of the unspoilt North Cornish coast.

When it comes to outdoor activities, North Cornwall takes some beating. You could go surfing and diving at Falmouth, camel trekking at Helston, horse riding in Penzance and walk coast to coast from Portreath to Devoran. And of course, Newquay is renowned for its lively nightlife and laid back surfing culture.

"A trip to Newquay is a must with an array of shops, restaurants and cafes to explore not to mention the working harbour."

Fun Days Out in North Cornwall

Newquay Zoo

The award winning Newquay Zoo makes a fun family day out in North Cornwall.  With over 130 different species of animals to see and plenty of fun activities for the kids this attraction is ideal.  Recent additions to the zoo include the African Savanna and the Madagascan Walkthrough exhibit.  Kids will love the play area, face painting, tarzan trail and animal encounters.  Different events tale place throughout the year such as the Halloween Zoo Boo family fun event on 31st October.

Holywell Bay Fun Park

This fun park makes a really energetic day out with rides, pitch and putt and a kids zone.  Some of the highlights include the Thunder Racing Track and the Blaster Boats.  The F1 racing karts are also very popular.  Younger kids will like the kiddy karts and the trampolines.  Located in the Newquay area this attraction is easily accessible from the M5.  You can purchase Bulk Tokens for rides on their website to save money and download a golden ticket.

The Monkey Sanctuary

This attraction is really unique in that you have the opportunity to gain a rare insight into a working sanctuary.  You can see first hand all of the fantastic work carried out as well as seeing the monkeys themselves.  Other popular areas of this attraction include the Bat Cave and Wildlife Room. the Wildlife Gardens and the kids play area.  There is something for everyone at The Monkey Sanctuary and you can also sponsor and donate if you wish.  The cost to adopt a monkey is from just £2 a month.

Holywell Bay Fun Park

Holywell Bay Fun Park has been one of South Cornwall's most popular attractions for many years and features a good range of rides for children of all ages. As well as fairground rides and Go- Karts there are plenty of places for family fun including the Maze, Bumper Boats and Lazar Shooting area. If the weather is not great visitors can simply head inside as there are plenty of indoor activities including a large Soft Play Area and a thrilling Climbing Wall. With no entrance fee this park is a good budget friendly option too.

Paradise Park

Paradise Park first opened its doors in Cornwall in 1973 and has been one of the regions top attractions ever since. What was once just a tropical bird garden is now a refuge for many different species of animal and aims to be educational as well as fun for its visitors. The inhabitants include some typical UK creatures including Otters, and Red Squirrels as well as some more unusual and rare animals including Red Pandas. Younger children will enjoy meeting the friendly animals in the farm area. The site has recently been extended and now also has a fantastic Jungle Barn where kids can let of steam.

Flambards Experience Cornwall

A fantastic attraction with something for everyone.  Combining rides, activities and exhibitions it's all here in the one place. Look out for seasonal events too such as the Fire in the Sky event on 27th October 2010 - discount advance tickets are available for most of the events so don't forget to check out their website.  Some of the most popular thrill rides include the first Twisting Droptower in the UK called the Skyraker 001.  The Hornert Rollercoaster is also not to be missed.

Dairyland Farm World

Open from end March to end October this is a lovely attraction suited to families with kids of all ages.  You don't need to worry about the weather either as this is an all weather attraction with the addition of soft play areas and a ball pool for the little ones.  Some of the highlights include the Bull Pen indoor play area, the Raging Bulls Ride, Pat-aPet and the Mini tractors.  Of course there is also the opportunity to get up close to the farm animals and try some bottle feeding.

The Eden Project

The Eden Project is a fantastic local attraction in Cornwall which will appeal to families and couples.  From the moment you step through the entrance it's clear that this is no ordinary attraction.  All under one roof you will find a giant rainforest, Horticulture courses, rock climbing, ice skating and an arts cafe.  Not all of these activities are on at one time, they are staggered throughout the year so check out the website to see what's available when you plan to visit.  Autumn at Eden is very popular with events such as daily apple pressing and Time Changing Tales (story telling with an autumn theme).

Ignore negative reviews! Awesome little Bungalow, (Hot tub was a bonus, well maintained, and no faults with jets during our stay!) would 100% stay here again. There are a fair few steps to access this accommodation, worth bearing in mind if mobility is an issue. Otherwise, a very well equipped, comfortable stay, set in beautiful woodland surroundings.... We WILL be back!

We had a lovely week but would have preferred a site with more space between the accommodation. Alpine Bungalow is up a number of steps which is fine but the car has to be parked rather a long way away leaving my husband rather concerned that he could not keep an eye on it. I found the Bungalow to be very clean and the bed comfortable. We did need to keep the windows open all of the time otherwise it would smell musty. We used the on site restaurant and were very happy with the food we chose and the prices charged. Not the best accommodation we have stayed in but certainly not the worst.

Would have liked a dishwasher and slightly bigger kitchen but overall very good.
Was a lovely break quiet surroundings
Lovely bungalow in lovely surroundings
The only negative I have is that it wasn't really fenced in so we couldnt leave the dogs out there on their own
