Ritec Valley Cottages enjoy a quiet location in the Pembrokeshire region of Wales - simply stunning by anyone's imagination.  The cottages themselves are very peaceful and yet just under a mile away from St Florence, a quaint local village

We absolutely love the working farm location, both unique and charming with 145 acres of land.  This is the ideal location to explore the surrounding area, where you will be blessed with plenty of well known attractions.

The cottages themselves are of an excellent standard, you can tell from the moment you enter that lots of TLC gone into the presentation and special touches.  In fact the whole place as a welcoming atmospshere - giving a feeling of home from home.

The high spec interiors ooze quality and one cottage has an outdoor hot tub, make sure to book this one for special occasions, it really adds a touch of luxury to your stay.  It's called Hunters Hollow and is a beautiful two storey cottage with lawned garden and outdoor hot tub.

Tenby is a gorgeous resort on the coast and really close to the lodges for days exploring the narrow streets, cafes and gift shops.

You could take a trip to the famous Harbour beach which was actually named as ‘Europe’s number one beach in 2014’. Boat trips are available from the harbour to the island of Caldey where you can visit the Celtic monastery and Cistercian monks.

Other fantastic attractions in this area include A visit to Pembrokeshire would not be complete without a trip Oakwood Anna’s Welsh Zoo and Folly Farm home to Wales very own colony of giraffes and Lions - both of these brilliant attractions have won awards, and would make excellent days out for families.

Our Top Tip
"Don't forget to visit the famous Harbour beach once voted Europe’s number one beach!"

Fun Days Out in Pembrokeshire

Treasure Island Fun Centre is situated in the Anglesey area of North of Wales and there is really no better place to take children on a rainy day. The fantastic all weather attraction features a huge array of slides, chutes, climbing frames, ball pools and mazes. Energetic kids can really let of steam while the grown ups can relax in the cafe with a drink and a snack. There are separate areas four younger children to play safely, so no one is left out of the fun.

Penrhyn Castle is a neo-Norman castle is located in the stunning Gwynedd region of Wales. The castle will appeal to those who enjoy sites of historical interest as well as to families looking to enjoy a fun day out. The Castle is in very good condition and guided tours are on offer. Don't miss a look at the grand hall with its exquisite collection of paintings or the Victorian Kitchen which gives amazing insight into the running of the Castle. Other highlights include the Servants Rooms and the one ton slate bed which was originally made for Queen Victoria.

This attraction is really something special and has reached the finals of the "Best Family Day Out" category in the National Tourism Awards for Wales.  It's actually the only attraction in North Wales to be shortlisted for this prestigious award. Located in the Snowdonia region there are many rides and activities including Jungle Boat Adventure, Den Building, Green Dragon Roller Caoster, Treetop Towers and the BareFoot Trail.  Kids of all ages will love it here and we think it's excellent value as well.

Located in the North of Wales with a spectacular setting high above Colwyn Bay this is a lovely zoo which makes an excellent family day out.  Highlights include the Chimp Encounter, Penguin Parades, Bear Falls and the Children's Farm.  The setting is perfect for walking around and you can take in the superb scenery, roam the wooded pathways and relax on the grassy slopes.  There are many rare and endangered species to see and learn about including the Snow Leopards and the Red Pandas not to mention the Sumatran Tigers. You can also buy the experience of being a zoo keeper for a day, either for yourself or as a gift.

Tree tops is a lovely clean well equiped cottage. The owners had done some work on it since our last visit. There is soon to an addition of a hot tub which will be lovely.
We took my mum along with us this time and she was very impressed with the cottage.
We all had a great time.

Accommodation type: Keepers Cottage
Keepers cottage is the smallest of the cottages on offer and I believe the only one that is dog friendly. The cottage itself consists of a wide hallway, ideal for muddy wellies etc, 1 double bedroom (with direct access to the bathroom), a single bedroom and a kitchen/dining/lounge combined. The cottage was homely and extremely clean - no signs of previous dog occupancy! A throw is supplied specifically for the dog to sit on the sofa.
The double bed was very comfortable and again bed linen, towels etc were top quality. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you could possibly need (including a torch, sewing kit etc) and the fridge has a small but separate freezer compartment. Wifi was very good, although TV signal kept losing BBC1. Shower was electric, but not very powerful. These were the only very minor negatives and did not spoil our enjoyment of the holiday. Would definitely book again!

A lovely cottage with everything you need including a hot tub, in a peaceful location, great for a relaxing break, but only a short drive into Tenby or Saundersfoot. Owners very welcoming and friendly, appreciated the welcome pack especially the fresh milk and welsh cakes. A great holiday.

You need to visit!!!
My family loved our recent holiday at The Old Granary, the owners and their family were accommodating to us. The swimming pool was warm with lots of toys, the cottage was well equipped and our little one loved the sheep and horses nearby. It was in a rural location which may not suit some people but we loved it and could have been miles away from anything.. Close to lots of activities, folly farm being our firm favourite. Tenby was close by for a great beach and eating places. Would definitely come again! Thank you x
Owner was lovely and very helpful. Lots of local things to do and places like Tenby are very close. The cottages are on a working farm how ever there is no noise from the animals, very quiet location.
Visited for my Dad's 80th birthday. Lovely cottage with everything you need. As it was cold in the evenings the staff brought us wood for the woodburner on two occasions. This was very much appreciated. Well maintained property. Possibly a little outdated but this is being picky. Setting is gorgeous with some shetland ponies in the field attached to the property. On the downside, the hob took an age to hear up. Apart from that, lovely relaxing weekend.
Loved put stay at Ritec Cottages in SW Wales. We stayed in Keeper's Cottage which was very well kitted out. Owners were lovely and very helpful. Idyllic indeed.
This was our third stay at Tree tops cottage. As always we received a very warm welcome. Heather recognised our name on the booking and made sure the pool was warm and open a week early. We had great weather and took full advantage of the garden for a BBQ. There were triplet orphaned lambs in the field next to the cottage(sad but cute) and also a new baby foal. After 3 family holidays my husband and myself thought about using the smaller cottage to come back later in the year by ourselves. Heather took me for a look around the cottage. We booked a week-end break for 2 the day after we got back. Really looking forward to going back to this lovely location in the beautiful Pembrook area. Will also eat at the Sun Inn on our return, the food is very good and the welcome could not be better. A fantasic holiday.
We really enjoyed our stay at Keepers cottage, from the friendly welcome ,not to mention the Welsh cakes on arrival to the visits from the farm dogs to say hello, everything was just right. There are lots of places to explore locally the coast and inland scenery is as good as you will find anywhere. Will certainly be back in the not too distant future.
Fantastic, well equipped cottage with hot tub. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely location .
It was awesome the location the whole experience was fab and we will definitely be going back.
The cottages are on a farm is situated just on the outskirts of St Florence and 3 miles from Tenby. Beautiful surrounding countryside, very quiet and virtually no traffic. Farm is a working farm so some noise from the working dogs in the morning, which can only be expected! Other than that very quiet. The directions to get there were very easy to follow and welsh cakes and a jug of milk awaited us. There is an indoor pool and an outbuilding with washing machine etc, but we used neither so can't comment. There is also an enclosed field in which you can let your dog have a run. Lovely welcome from the owners and lots of information about the local attractions and only a 10 minute stroll to the village of St Florence which has a small convenience shop and a pub open for evening meals. Fantastic beaches close by, together with clifftop walks.
This was a very pleasant holiday. No complaints a shame there was only one shower for 5 but we managed and the bare minimum of toilet rolls but I would recomment the cottage to anyone. Kids would love it.
