Fun Days Out in Pembrokeshire

Treasure Island Fun Centre is situated in the Anglesey area of North of Wales and there is really no better place to take children on a rainy day. The fantastic all weather attraction features a huge array of slides, chutes, climbing frames, ball pools and mazes. Energetic kids can really let of steam while the grown ups can relax in the cafe with a drink and a snack. There are separate areas four younger children to play safely, so no one is left out of the fun.

Penrhyn Castle is a neo-Norman castle is located in the stunning Gwynedd region of Wales. The castle will appeal to those who enjoy sites of historical interest as well as to families looking to enjoy a fun day out. The Castle is in very good condition and guided tours are on offer. Don't miss a look at the grand hall with its exquisite collection of paintings or the Victorian Kitchen which gives amazing insight into the running of the Castle. Other highlights include the Servants Rooms and the one ton slate bed which was originally made for Queen Victoria.

This attraction is really something special and has reached the finals of the "Best Family Day Out" category in the National Tourism Awards for Wales.  It's actually the only attraction in North Wales to be shortlisted for this prestigious award. Located in the Snowdonia region there are many rides and activities including Jungle Boat Adventure, Den Building, Green Dragon Roller Caoster, Treetop Towers and the BareFoot Trail.  Kids of all ages will love it here and we think it's excellent value as well.

Located in the North of Wales with a spectacular setting high above Colwyn Bay this is a lovely zoo which makes an excellent family day out.  Highlights include the Chimp Encounter, Penguin Parades, Bear Falls and the Children's Farm.  The setting is perfect for walking around and you can take in the superb scenery, roam the wooded pathways and relax on the grassy slopes.  There are many rare and endangered species to see and learn about including the Snow Leopards and the Red Pandas not to mention the Sumatran Tigers. You can also buy the experience of being a zoo keeper for a day, either for yourself or as a gift.

Easy to gain access to the site and cottage but also felt secure. Lovely site and the cottage was pristine.

Our lodge would have benefited from a thorough clean before we arrived. I did find myself sweeping and cleaning before we had unpacked which upset me somewhat however it did not hinder our holiday!

The property was not cleaned properly. I had to wipe clean all surfaces in all rooms of dust and grit and the kitchen cupboards were grubby. The pans also needed a good scrubbing and all the crockery had been washed but left wet in the cupboards so needed re washing. What a shame it wasn't cleaned properly.
The beds were comfortable, and the furniture in good condition.
No loo roll left at all which is a poor show...just one loo roll would be expected.

Very comfortable clean lodge -it had everything we needed. Would definately stay here again
Me and my partner stayed Mon-Fri. Surroundings were lovely and only a 1 mile walk into saundersfoot which is a great town with a nice beach and plenty of places to eat and drink. Only down side. Buses stop running at 5.30pm and the train station is about 1.5 miles outside Saundersfoot. So if like me you like to park the car up for the week Taxis are the only way to get home from the likes of Tenby. Awesome holiday tho.
Had enjoyed our stay. Our accommodation is a little bit of a let down, cleanliness is an issue for us. Probably because the last lodge where we stayed was spotless. Overall it is a nice place to visit again, nearby Tenby especially.
We stayed in a lodge for a week in July. The lodge was clean and comfortable and was well equipped. We were a little surprised to discover how close to a train line the site was. However it was not a problem and even though the trains ran early in the morning till quite late in the evening, they were not intrusive at all. The site only has minimal facilities but were more than adequate. Wifi is available at a small charge. We had a lovely holiday and would definitely recommend it to others.
Fantastic time
Perfect for a short break, love the walk into Saundersfoot not far down a country lane. The Lodge was so pretty nautical theme, beds were immaculate and very comfy, did not use any facilities as everything you needed was in the lodge. Only one gripe lodge could do with a thorough clean not just a lick and polish, I had to do a bit of cleaning before I could empty our bags especially kitchen area. Apart from that it was perfect.
The Lodge we stayed in was spotless and very comfortable
