The lodge was very spacious and the beds in our room were comfortable. I did, however, note that the beds in the other room were not.
Lovely, soft leather sofa. It's rare for a holiday cabin to have a sofa I can really relax on. There was a TV, but we never switched it on. It would be lovely to find a radio at one of these places, but I always bring my own now.
There's a washing machine, unfortunately it didn't work in our cabin, but the owners were nice enough to let us use the one in the other cabin, which was empty.
That was another really good thing about this site. When we called the owners, someone always picked up. Many times before, we have gotten a bit lost on the way to somewhere and been calling a number that just rings out. The owner met us and showed us to our cabin. When the washing machine failed, someone was out with a solution. That is a big plus point.
I would have liked a double bed in one of the rooms, there are singles in both rooms.
The heating was a bit erratic, we couldn't get it to go on one night, but it suddenly began working again. I did notice towards the end of the holiday that the radiator in the other room wasn't working, but we weren't using that room.
One thing that stood out as a bad point for us was the dishes. The cups were so dirty and tea stained that we didn't use them. I went to use a pot and it was really greasy. We also expected to find a small amount of washing up liquid and a dish brush or suchlike, however there was none. No handwash either incidentally.
We bought a dish brush, washing up liquid and new cups, though I did manage to clean the other ones up quite well after a good scrub. We left the dish brush, washing up liquid, cups and handwash behind, so if you stay in lodge one, you're welcome :).
The rest of the cabin was really clean, just seemed to be the dishes.
On the last day, water started coming through the ceiling as I was having a shower, however up to that point, the shower was decent. Good pressure and hot.
We would come back and we would recommend it.
What I will say is that if you are arriving in the dark, pay close attention for the opening to the site, it's very easy to miss. The sign would benefit massively from a light above it.

The lodges could do with a bit updating but apart from that they are fine, not 5 star but still excellent value for money.

good accommodation overall, beds were comfortable but a little `creaky`, and a table as well as chairs on the verandah would have been good
Fantastic secluded holiday loved every second
Lovely lodges, been coming for last few years. Love the scenery & quietness of lodge.
Great lodges, very clean and spacious. Stayed for friends wedding a Brig o Doon and it was perfect and very reasonable priced for family getting ready and chilling out next day.
Great lodge very peaceful . Only thing would be an outside picnic table and firmer mattresses. Brilliant holiday and kids loved it as did we. Loads of space to roam
