Fun Days Out in Carmarthenshire

Treasure Island Fun Centre is situated in the Anglesey area of North of Wales and there is really no better place to take children on a rainy day. The fantastic all weather attraction features a huge array of slides, chutes, climbing frames, ball pools and mazes. Energetic kids can really let of steam while the grown ups can relax in the cafe with a drink and a snack. There are separate areas four younger children to play safely, so no one is left out of the fun.

Penrhyn Castle is a neo-Norman castle is located in the stunning Gwynedd region of Wales. The castle will appeal to those who enjoy sites of historical interest as well as to families looking to enjoy a fun day out. The Castle is in very good condition and guided tours are on offer. Don't miss a look at the grand hall with its exquisite collection of paintings or the Victorian Kitchen which gives amazing insight into the running of the Castle. Other highlights include the Servants Rooms and the one ton slate bed which was originally made for Queen Victoria.

This attraction is really something special and has reached the finals of the "Best Family Day Out" category in the National Tourism Awards for Wales.  It's actually the only attraction in North Wales to be shortlisted for this prestigious award. Located in the Snowdonia region there are many rides and activities including Jungle Boat Adventure, Den Building, Green Dragon Roller Caoster, Treetop Towers and the BareFoot Trail.  Kids of all ages will love it here and we think it's excellent value as well.

Located in the North of Wales with a spectacular setting high above Colwyn Bay this is a lovely zoo which makes an excellent family day out.  Highlights include the Chimp Encounter, Penguin Parades, Bear Falls and the Children's Farm.  The setting is perfect for walking around and you can take in the superb scenery, roam the wooded pathways and relax on the grassy slopes.  There are many rare and endangered species to see and learn about including the Snow Leopards and the Red Pandas not to mention the Sumatran Tigers. You can also buy the experience of being a zoo keeper for a day, either for yourself or as a gift.

Lodge was amazing. A little low on cooking utensils. Bed was solid but had an amazing week and a hot tub. And for the price we paid really cant complain!

The mattress could be a little firmer, and the shower went from hot to cold. Also, none of the electric heaters worked which was odd. But I imagine this would only be needed in winter.

We had a lovely relaxing holiday, in beautiful surroundings. It was great to be able to watch all the different birds and squirrels from the front porch of the cabin. I would highly recommend it to any nature lover.

Lovely area. Staff very helpful. Lodge nice. Shower could do with replacing, but everything else worked fine. Very clean and well kept. Rained all week but that is obviously just a risk you take in the UK.

Really enjoyed staying at woodland lodges, received a warm welcome of the staff, they very helpful providing information on surrounding areas. Nice walks within the park area with the dog. Enjoyed the hot tub after a day of walking.
Amazing location. Great for a little retreat!
The hot tub is AMAZING! Such a bonus! The lodge we stayed in had everything we needed and it was great that our dogs could stay with us. It would be great if there were free WiFi, however it is nice to get away from it all. Great little walks to go on in the immediate vicinity, very handy for taking the pooches out. It’s in a great area, beaches nearby. Fantastic!
Great place great holiday. Planning to go back.
Fabulous lodge and the hot tub was amazing. Lovely location and setting.
