Fun Days Out in Yorkshire Moors & Coast

Jorvik Viking Centre is a fun and educational attraction offering visitors the chance to learn all about the Viking-Age city of Jorvik. Thanks to the Archaeologists from York Archaeological Trust the amazing houses, workshops and backyards of the Viking-Age city of Jorvik are on display and give a clear insight to the way of life all those years ago.  The site aims to offer an interactive experience with the state of the art time capsule and the blacksmith's furnace being the top attractions.

If you are enjoying a lodge break in the Yorkshire Moors and Coast then a day trip to the Scarborough Sea Life and Marine Sanctuary highly recommended. This centre is one of the regions most popular attractions and is educational as well as fun. Visitors will enjoy a journey beneath the waves, meeting many strange, beautiful and fascinating creatures of the deep. As well as mighty sharks and beautiful rays guests can get up close to some more common creatures including star fish and can also meet the otters, seals and penguins at feeding time. The site also has children's play area and picnic tables as well as a restaurant and souvenir shop. Family tickets cost 46.80 but the Tourist Information Centres in Scarborough, Whitby or Filey often offer fantastic discounts.

We stayed at Croft Park for 1 week in June. We stayed in Hawthorn Lodge and we could not fault it at all. We were welcomed by a staff member who showed us to our lodge and we were left a bottle of Prosecco. The lodge was spotless, lovely and modern with lots of space. The hot tub was amazing and staff came to check it daily.
The location is brilliant. We visited York, Hornsea, Bridlington, Scarborough and Whitby. The nearby town, Beverley, is nice to walk about.
We had a lovely holiday and will definitely be returning in the future.

We stayed in Hawthorne Lodge. The lodge was very well decorated with a lovely modern feel. It felt very luxurious as we had a complimentary bottle of proseco on arrival, dressing gowns and slippers which was a lovely touch. The location is beautiful and quiet & the staff on site were extremely helpful. Would highly recommend staying in this lodge, we were so pleased with everything.

Lovely and well kept lodges in peaceful surroundings.

We stayed for 4 nights in Hawthorne lodge, we were very sceptical before we went as it was pet friendly so we expected it to be 'well used'. We were surprised when we got there as everything was brand new and there was even a blanket and a bowl of water for the dog. Beautiful surroundings, park only small but well looked after. We didn't use the coffee shop. Took a walk to the duck pond and stopped off at the pub which was very nice.
Danielle
Best lodges we have stayed in by far clean stunning quiet everything we needed great location will defiantly be returning
Kathryn
Fabulous midweek break with my husband and baby. Hawthorn Lodge is luxurious and was very clean, with bathrobes and slippers provided for our night time dips in the hot tub! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this Park to others.
Les

Emma
Lovely cabin set in a very nice area. The staff on site were very friendly and helpful. A nice local pub down the road and some good walks in the area. We're already looking to book again. Thank you
