Fun Days Out in Yorkshire Moors & Coast

Jorvik Viking Centre is a fun and educational attraction offering visitors the chance to learn all about the Viking-Age city of Jorvik. Thanks to the Archaeologists from York Archaeological Trust the amazing houses, workshops and backyards of the Viking-Age city of Jorvik are on display and give a clear insight to the way of life all those years ago.  The site aims to offer an interactive experience with the state of the art time capsule and the blacksmith's furnace being the top attractions.

If you are enjoying a lodge break in the Yorkshire Moors and Coast then a day trip to the Scarborough Sea Life and Marine Sanctuary highly recommended. This centre is one of the regions most popular attractions and is educational as well as fun. Visitors will enjoy a journey beneath the waves, meeting many strange, beautiful and fascinating creatures of the deep. As well as mighty sharks and beautiful rays guests can get up close to some more common creatures including star fish and can also meet the otters, seals and penguins at feeding time. The site also has children's play area and picnic tables as well as a restaurant and souvenir shop. Family tickets cost 46.80 but the Tourist Information Centres in Scarborough, Whitby or Filey often offer fantastic discounts.

The nicest of all the lodges we've stayed in..spacious and nicely decorated even with a Christmas tree! Prosecco and robes and slippers a nice touch. Arrived in icy weather and hot tub was ready and waiting. Had relaxing 4 days and visited York and Beverley. Recommend highly

Amazing lodge with all the facilities! The only suggestion would be that the hottub could do with a shelter over it. Other than that we had an amazing stay.

Beautiful lodge, park is small which is ideal for chilling out. As we arrived at the Beginning of December there was a Christmas tree up which was a lovely touch. Highly recommended.

We stayed on 4th December in the oak lodge and it was beautiful. Everything you need for a break away from life. Little breezy around the hot tub for us but it's December!! Maybe could benefit from being a little more enclosed. Close to Beverley and hull perfect anniversary stay for is warm and cosy like a home from home

Without doubt the most beautiful lodge I’ve stayed in (Hawthorn). Bottle of prosecco on arrival, hot tub, snow and the most helpful, friendliest staff made this a perfect weekend getaway. We are already looking to book our next visit.
Elaine
This was one of the nicest places we have ever stayed, the surroundings were lovely and it was so peaceful.
