Great location, house was functional and equipment did the job.

Lovely cottage. The kitchen is small but well equipped. The furnishings are used but clean and tidy. The bathroom has a shower over the bath and appears to be newly installed. The downstairs loo is small and might be an issue for people with mobility problems. The heating and cold water was simple to use. The hob is induction but there are clear instructions given in a manual located inside the cottage. There is also a number on your site map for additional help.

The property we stayed in was okay, but the seating arrangements downstairs didnt match the sleeping capacity - 5 of us comfortably slept in the cottage but on an evening, the sofas only comfortably sat 4. Distinct lack of sockets in all the rooms, too - only 1 per bedroom and none near the table or seating areas. Single beds a little noisy, but very comfortable.

We stayed in Cottage 37. Upon entering we were pleasantly surprised by how clean and well kept the cottage was. Our only complaint regarding the cleanliness is that the shower curtain in the upstairs bathroom needs replacing, and that the sealant around the bath could do with being redone as it's getting quite mouldy now. I did find it quite amusing that all the sheets have the cottage number written on them in permanent marker. I would note that the fitted sheet in the master bedroom could probably do with replacing as it's not big enough for the mattress and kept pinging off the corners. I would also note that perhaps some more coat hangers could be provided as there were not a huge amount and there was still lots of hanging space available. In addition to this I think providing an ironing board would be a really helpful addition. There is a folder in the kitchen that contains some instructions for how to use the appliances - I think these could probably use a bit of attention as some of them (for the induction hob especially) were a bit complex and actually it's not that hard to use once you understand how. It would also be handy to know what time the booster for the hot water is set to come on in the morning. When we first arrived the WiFi was completely unusable and wouldn't load even the most basic web page, but after restarting the router we found it worked significantly better than expected and we were able to surf the web and utilise social media at our convenience.

Fabulous little cottage on a small private holiday village. No onsite shop so shop before you arrive. Quite hilly so not great for people with walking disabilities that don't have a car. Clean comfortable 3 bedroom cottage with great views. Everything needed for a comfortable holiday.

Lovely cottage in a lovely location.
The cottage was nice and clean and had everything you need.
I would of liked a receptionist on check in as there is only a maintenance person around through the day but we would definitely visit again.
The site location is very close to town but you cannot walk into town due to the tight loads and lack of footpaths but there is plenty parking available.

The cabin is compact but well thought out. Ideal for a weekend away.
The shower is functional but not very good for washing hair if it's long.
Bed was comfy, cabin warm in December, nice views. However this was the first time in many years we've stayed anywhere and basics like washing up liquid, tea, coffee, sugar were not provided. Towels were provided although the property description said to bring your own.
We would stay again though.

Lovely cottage - great facilities and friendly staff. This was the 3rd time we have stayed here but the first time in one of the Ayton cottages (no'32) which was a real home from home. Great location - walked over the viaduct to Whitby which takes 20 - 25 mins. Will be back.
