We stayed in the caravan and honestly, it was surprisingly comfy-way better than many lodges we've been in before. Can't really find any faults with it at all.

The lodges are right next to a busy road and the balcony stays in shade all day.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The parks spotless and well-kept and the staff were super friendly and helpful throughout. The caravan was bright and airy and the beds were comfy. Only downside was the sofa - it was pretty hard. The shower was great, though and the noise at night wasnt too bad.

We had a really lovely holiday overall. The caravan was fantastic-spotless and even better than we expected, especially since it was dog-friendly. It was all set up with beds made before we arrived, which was a nice touch and there was plenty of space inside. Everything was in good working order, so no issues there. The location was perfect for exploring Dorset and the New Forest and the site itself was well looked after. The only thing that was a bit of a bummer was the road noise. We had checked beforeh and with Skye about where wed be staying and she assured us it would be away from the main road. Sadly, it wasnt quite the case and the constant traffic rumble made it tricky to sleep on our first night. Still, wed happily come back, maybe to a quieter part of the park next time. Overall, a great stay!

We had a great time exploring Dorset from this spot. The location is perfect for getting around and seeing the sights. The park itself is spotless and the staff always go out of their way to help. The only thing is, theres a bit of noise from the A31, which didnt bother us but might be an issue for those after total silence. Facilities are a bit limited on-site, but we appreciated the passes to the nearby site with swimming pools, a bar and food. Our 3-bed caravan was spacious enough for four adults and two kids. It was very clean, though the furniture wasnt the most comfy, but wed definitely come back!

We really appreciated how tidy and modern the caravan was-definitely the cleanest site we've been to! The staff were super friendly and helpful. Loved the cycle through the woods to reach the main area with the pool and facilities. Only downside was the constant road noise at the back, which made sleeping a bit tricky, especially late at night.

Overall, the lodge was spotlessly clean and clearly maintained to a high standard, which we appreciated. However, the location was a real letdown-being right next to a very busy road made it tough to relax. The constant noise during rush hours was pretty disruptive, especially since its so close to the dual carriageway. That honestly spoiled our holiday a bit. The bed was another disappointment; it lacked proper support and was way too soft for us, making sleep difficult. We also noticed there was no hair dryer, which feels a bit odd these days and the kitchen couldve done with a bit more equipment. A privacy blind was missing, so we couldnt really enjoy any quiet time without neighbours watching. We were hoping to switch lodges or leave early, as we had somewhere else booked the following week, but unfortunately, that wasnt an option at reception. Still, the place was clean, just not quite what we needed for a relaxing break.

The lodge was super tidy and really good value, which we appreciated a lot. Its a shame about the location, wish it was nearer the coast though. Still, the place itself was top-notch. Wed definitely stay here again, no doubt about it!

The lodge was lovely overall, but we did have some issues. There was a damp-smelling pillow from the spare room that wasnt reported and one pillowcase handed in for cleaning was missed. Also, waiting for the key code box was a bit of a hassle and there was no leaflet in the lodge, which wouldve been helpful. Still, everything else was really nice!

We really enjoyed our stay! The lodge was spotless and cosy, with great walks nearby. Perfect location, not too far from everything we needed.

We had a lovely stay at Forest Edge, but the traffic noise was a bit of a bother. Just a heads up, theres no entertainment on-site, so youll need to walk or drive to Oakdene if thats something youre after. Still, overall, a nice break.

We had a really good stay here, honestly. The site was peaceful and kept nice, with clear signs and friendly staff who were happy to help. The location of our caravan was spot on, super clean, warm and cosy. We loved that there were two parking spaces right next to the caravan-such a relief! The hot tub was spotless and at just the right temperature, which made evenings really relaxing. The best part? Check-in was contactless and our caravan was ready a good two hours before the scheduled time, so we missed the rain while unloading-winning! Overall, we had a fantastic week and will definitely come back, hopefully to the same caravan again.

We had a lovely holiday overall, but waiting for that room ready text was a bit frustrating - it never arrived. The email with the entertainment pass was also missing. Still, the reception staff at Oakdene Forest Park were really helpful and friendly.

We had a really lovely time, especially since it was our first trip with the dog. The walks were nice, though it was a bit noisy with traffic at first, but we got used to it quickly. Would definitely recommend!

We recently stayed in one of your caravans and honestly, it was quite a lovely experience. The staff really went out of their way to help us out, which we appreciated. The location is fantastic - close enough to loads of attractions but far enough that it wasnt too busy all the time. We enjoyed the peaceful walk through the woods when we crossed over to the main site. All in all, a really nice place to stay and wed definitely come back!
Emma

Date of stay: 1st November 2023
Honestly, we were pretty disappointed with this place. The noise from the busy road was relentless and despite claiming it would quieten down, it didnt! We could hardly get any sleep with all the debris banging on the roof all night long. The trees overhanging the caravan didnt help either, as they just added to the mess. On the plus side, the site itself is lovely and spotless and the staff were really friendly. However, there are no facilities on-site - you have to walk quite a way through the woods or drive to Oakdene, which is a bit of a pain. If youre planning to stay, definitely consider a central spot away from the road, or youll be kept awake by traffic noise all night!

The place offers really good value for money, though a coffee table would make it perfect. Cheers!

Date of stay: 31st October 2023
We had a lovely stay at Forest Edge and honestly, we really appreciated the cosy vibe of the small site. The connection to Oakdene is great, even if we didnt realise the walk would be so long-about a mile! Its a bit of a trek, especially for kids and with the weather being so wet and muddy, it was quite the adventure. The only downsides were the lack of sockets in the second bedroom and the sofa not being super comfy, but overall, a good experience!

Date of stay: 29th October 2023
Honestly, we had a mixed experience. The caravan itself was a good size, especially being extra wide, which made a real difference for our family. It was tidy, well-equipped and the parking was hassle-free, plus the park itself was pretty peaceful and quiet-definitely a plus. The free WiFi was a nice touch, really appreciated that. We didnt have far to walk or drive to the sister park, which has an indoor pool, bar, restaurant and arcade - perfect for when the weather wasnt great. However, the sofa cushions could do with replacing as they were quite hard, making sitting a bit uncomfortable. The biggest issue for us was how close the caravan was to the main road. Wed read reviews beforeh and and thought wed be okay, but it turned out to be quite noisy, especially when boy racers accelerate past on the roundabout with loud exhausts. Its also a busy route from Southampton to Dorchester and beyond, so traffic never really stops. Evenings could be peaceful, but the constant noise from passing traffic and late-night Lorries made it tough to relax. Location-wise, its convenient for exploring Dorset, Hampshire, Wiltshire and Somerset, but the roads arent in great condition and the traffic between Bournemouth and Poole is a nightmare. Wed consider staying again if we found a caravan further from the road, but the prices here werent particularly cheap and the smaller, closer caravans looked even more expensive. Honestly, were not sure well be back - its a shame because the park itself was nice, but the location really affected our stay!
