Perfect for relaxing

We recently stayed at Oakwood Lodges as a couple. The cabin was pure luxury and fully equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing break. We particularly loved the hot tub, which was a perfect way to unwind, and the large bath added an extra touch of indulgence. The facilities here are excellent, with a cozy and spacious cabin layout that made our stay so comfortable.The location was great, just a short drive to Selby which had all the main high street stores and supermarkets. The lodge was also only around 15 minutes from the designer outlet which was well worth a visit. Unfortunately we would be hesitant to return as the bed was very uncomfortable and we didnt get a good nights sleep - it was a very thin foam mattress on an hard base and pillows that were well passed their best, completely floppy and flat. A more comfortable bed setup would have made this a flawless stay - we ended up buying an air mattress just to get some sleep. It was also slightly frustrating that this park is advertised for romantic breaks, implying couples. But we were placed between two cabins with children who spent the whole evening screaming and disrupting the peace, with one of the cabins having the family over from a lodge further away meaning it was even louder. Other minor issues were the TV was a little outdated and smaller than expected, though it didnt impact our overall enjoyment. All in all, Oakwood Lodges is a beautiful holiday park that provides a luxury escape with fantastic facilities in a prime location. Highly recommended, especially for those looking for a peaceful retreat with some added indulgence! If the bed had met the luxury of the lodge and provided the sleep we needed, we would definitely be back!

The hot tub was huge, bed was comfy, shower was powerful. Could do with a bigger tv and the dishwasher didnt clean the dishes but other than that we couldnt fault it

Can't fault this lodge at all, very nice and will return.

The lodge had everything you possibly needed for a great stay. We felt like it was nice and secluded so you werent overlooked when in the hot tub and the extra bonus of seeing the ducks everyday was the highlight for our children.

just needs Robes and a parasol to be 5 star. Will return

Furniture could benefit from an upgrade as showing signs wear.Sofa sagging so not the best of comfort. Wardrobes need repairing or replacing but still usable.Kitchen units also showing signs of wear and need repairs or replacing.This didn't spoil our holiday, but we might not book the same lodge next time.

The bed was sooo comfortable and the bath was to die for. The hot tub was big enough for 4 even tho it was only booked for 2. 10/10

Just perfect what more can I say. Take plugs though as no usb sockets but this is so minor! Just relaxing quiet prity perfect romantic get away.

Another lovely stay at Oakwood Lodges. Very welcoming and comfortable lodge. If remodelling a larger fridge freezer would be beneficial there are 1 or two places this could be accommodated. I would consider a summer stay but not at the moment with the fridge freezer being so small. The lodges are quite remote which is lovely but shopping wise you would need to shop for food each day if self catering. Some take aways do deliver but cost is high for delivery. The Chinese restaurant and take away advertised in the holiday folder I wouldnt recommend it was very expensive and not enjoyable at all.

Great relaxing and quiet site

Beautiful lodge in a peaceful location. Overlooking a pond with decked area, hot tub and outdoor lighting.

Lodge starting to show wear and tear, could do with refurb, general decoration, etc. Really could do with large TV and extra sockets

Lovely lodge with stunning bedroom. Hot tub is not over looked at all and is very private . Had a fantastic weekend and will definitely return

This was a brilliant get away, I couldnt have asked for a better location and experience. The staff were kind and the facilities were fantastic. I would recommend this to anyone. Only flaw was the internet was abit slow and the tv small and outdated, but who really needs these when you can watch nature and chill in the jacuzzi.

We had a lovely few days in our comfortable and cosy lodge. The accomodation is tastefully decorated, with comfortable beds and a nice kitchen. The large hot tub is set on decking overlooking a lovely pond, with lots of birds to watch. It is a peaceful getaway place, still in easy reach of York and Hull. The host Gerry was very helpful and attentive. Highly recommended!

Easy check in and received a text for an hour early check in which was great! Spotlessly clean and everything was we needed was there. The hot tub was lovely and ready on arrival with a stunning view. The only thing that could be upgraded is the beds very low and a little uncomfortable. Other than that thank you for a great weekend!
