Argyll » Rosneath, Gare Loch

Rosneath Castle Park is a quiet and peaceful retreat with a beautiful lochside setting near Helensburgh in Argyll on Scotland’s West Coast.

Offering some of the most spectacular scenery Scotland has to offer.

Rosneath is a great base for discovering Loch Lomond, the Trossachs and the Highlands, and is just an hour’s drive from Glasgow.

Trails from Rosneath lead through deer filled woods that overlook lochs and the Firth of Clyde.

The local area is steeped in history, from Wallace’s Loup, where the Scottish Braveheart leapt from a cliff to escape the English army, to the cave and prison of 18th century hero Rob Roy.

Local highlights include Inverary Castle and Gardens, the world’s only sea-going paddle steamer, whisky tours and restaurants serving wonderful seasonal food.

After a day conquering the waters, exploring the surroundings or enjoying the local attractions, you’ll find a tasty meal and drinks served up in the popular bar and bistro, with live entertainment taking place on many evenings.

We loved our stay in Rosneath Castle caravan park.

The only tiny thing we would liked to have known is a little more info about local buses when we arrived as you can't really walk on the roads after leaving the park...

Enjoyed holiday, however, it was a bit disappointing no wifi and also a bit remote, having to travel over an hour every day to access activities.

Excellent caravan. My only gripe was that it is advertised with a DVD player, which it did not have which is a nuisance when you have children and expect one to be there.

If I could guarantee the same caravan I would be back tomorrow

It was not because of the refund but problems happen. However the people who promise and deliver were key to make our holiday great. It turned out to be sm excellent trip for my old man. He walked everyday around Rosneath. I would recommend everyone to go there and In trouble there is always Peter - 'our man'.
Thank you Rosneath.

Caravan park could benefit from a swimming pool and things for teenagers. When you go to a caravan park there is nearly always a swimming pool and when this was the old caravan park it had an outdoor paddling pool. Caravans could benefit from WiFi too.
Annette, Sheerness
Will definitely revisit this park and recommend to others

Great relaxing break
