The lodge met the needs of 2 family groups ages ranging from 1-71! Lovely dining table and chairs in the open plan kitchen, dining, living area downstairs. The upstairs en-suite bedroom was big enough for a travel cot and had a comfy armchair. The downstairs en-suite room was the one with single beds that may be a drawback for some. The bathroom had a bath and just a hand held shower attachment. Lots of hot water. 2 comfy sofas and television in every bedroom.

Lovely time at this place .Only issues were sofa wasnt too comfortable . Brilliant stay .lovely spacious building , beautiful lake right in your doorstep , peaceful and quiet . Only thing I didnt like was no curtain or blinds , but wasnt too bad since the windows are slightly blacked out . Dishes ,cutlery and mugs could have been better quality . No champagne glasses either . No mop bucket . No sponge for cleaning dishes . Was the small things really . Also we never got a welcome pack like other places we have been to but received a bottle of fresh cow milk from the farm shop which was lovely .

Really lovely lodge, we thoroughly enjoyed staying here. The lodge had such a big kitchen/dining/living room space with plenty of room for 7 of us to sit in an evening. However, despite the lodge being so lovely and modern, the beds were very uncomfortable. It wasnt just the bed in one room, all of us found the beds uncomfortable. In the room I stayed in, I could feel the springs of the mattress. It was also not made clear to us prior to arrival that we would have to pay for wifi. At all other lodge sites we have been to, wifi has always been included and in this day and age to charge for it as an extra seemed ridiculous. The only other thing was that check-out was at 10am. It was 9:50 and we got a knock on the door from a member of staff telling us that did we know checkout was 10 and to be completely honest the was he approached this was very rude. We were perfectly aware of this. We had our bags already lined up to be packed into the car and were just making sure the fridge was empty and having one last check to ensure we hadnt left anything. It just felt quite unnecessary to be telling us this when it wasnt even 10 yet. If they want check out to be before 10, then they should tell us that. Not come round before then expecting us to have left.

The lodge was beautiful and very clean. However there were several stains on the sofas which we feel should be cleaned.

Just returned from a lovely stay at twin lakes. Lovely spacious lodge with basics supplied such as washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, kitchen roll, teabags, coffee, milk & orange juice. Even had bowls & treats for our dog. Few signs of wear and tear throughout the lodge & sofa was very badly stained on the back but nothing that affected our stay. Just a few minor things we feel could improve the lodge though would be a coat rack, theres a coat rack by the hot tub to hang your towels on. But none inside the lodge for your coats etc. also hand wash in the bathrooms would be handy. All staff very friendly and welcoming. WiFi cost £10 for the duration of our stay. Also highly recommended a trip to Greenlands farm shop & restaurant, just down the road. Food in the restaurant was 10/10. Very reasonably priced too. Look forward to returning.
