We had a great weeks stay here. Very peaceful and quiet. There are only 5 lodges but there is hedging between them to give privacy. Decking looks out onto a grassed area and then out onto fields, you can hear a little traffic but not much. Hot tub is sunk into the decking so easier to get in and out of. There is a wooden table and chairs and a small circular bbq on the decking as well. Parking is next to the lodge. Kitchen has everything you could need, including a set of scales. Washing machine is also a dryer so its easy to get clothes etc dry if you cant get them on the the airer. Shower is a good size and easy to use. Deep bath with shower over in the main bathroom. We found the living-room a little drafty with the stronger winds but was cozy and warm with the electric stove-style fire (main heating warmed up the rest of the lodge too much). Beds were comfy and clean although we had to move one of the sets of drawers to retrieve something and it was cobwebs and dust where it looks like they arent routinely moved. Lodge was well presented and clean. They say WiFi is provided, which it is, but it is not reliable or fast. Its based on a mobile WiFi router connected to the 3 network and it kept dropping out and when it did connect speeds were extremely slow (around 4mbps). You could work from this WiFi or stream videos to a device - it was very difficult just trying to search the internet to research the area.

The lodge it's does have all you need but is very basic and minimal. The hot tub is basic. The jets aren't really that effective for us the hot tub wasn't enjoyable so hardly used it.The bed is so uncomfortable we didn't get a good night sleep at all.The mattress is deformed on one side so whoever sleeps on that side expect to roll off.We booked for a week but unfortunately this was not an enjoyable experience for us and we cut our holiday short. We had the best sleep ever when returning home to our own bed.I would like to say that we do not ever leave a bad review however if we hadn't had things planned and places to see we would have left a lot earlier.

The lodge was nice and clean. Everything we needed was there. The sofas had a very upright back and where terribly uncomfortable would recommend these are thrown away and replaced with the comfortable sofas

Booked last minute as our last accommodation had to be cancelled due to the weather. We called to check availability and there was no problem at all. Met at the farm by Melanie who was very pleasant and chatty. Cabin was amazing and lovely quiet location. Only five cabins. Had one issue with the shower cubicle not draining which was sorted within half an hour of contacting Rupert. Also what a lovely gentleman to talk to very pleasant also. ???? everything needed in the kitchen and complimentary tea, coffee and milk to start us off. Oh and biscuits.Good base to go out and about to explore if you want or chill and do nothing and use the hot tub.Loved it that much booked again for later in the year

In general the place is very nice and clean. Idyllic location, but we were there for work and I was not allowed to park my van in front of the chalet although there was ample space and it would have not obstructed anyone or been "in their face". There was no reason given to me, just that it is not allowed to take commercial vehicles there. I had to park quite far away. The second thing that was slightly annoying was that we were not allowed to charge our power-tool batteries there, which caused a bit of hassle as we didn't have power on site either. Again no reason given, although the batteries don't use up big amounts of energy to charge. This spoiled the whole experience, therefore the low overall rating.

The only reason value for money is low on the score is because of the check in and departure time during coronavirus, but overall enjoyed the holiday and seemed to be run by friendly people. No one bothered you after you arrived until you left. Everything you need is provided in the lodges and the surrounding areas are lovely.

Thanks for the great weekend.

Another excellent stay, no issues at all. The sofas are a little uncomfortable after a few days, the internal speakers had a crackle which may need attention soon, would benefit from wifi. Overall excellent and highly recommended.
