Very peaceful location. Well kept grounds. Nice shower block.
The only downside is the lodges have no gas so all is electric, and the first £15 of use is included - the rest you have to pay for. Carol did explain this beforehand though and she rang us to go through our bedding/sleeping needs a week before.

My wife and I had one of our best holidays ever. The friendly, good natured welcome we received will stay with us for a long time! Our lodge was spotless, the site quite central to our needs and there was plenty to do and see. We would recommend Oathill to anyone who asks.

The cabin did not have a shower , only a bath.
eventually, I decided to go across to the shower units.
They are amazingly good, Very clean, well equipped.
I was truly impressed. Has the weather was glorious,
this didn't bother me. If it was cold an other matter.
Then a warm bath would be fine.

Lovely lodge, nice park. I have only one disappointment in the brochure it said that there was a dvd player while this was true it was in the second bedroom and there was no seats to sit and watch and films it would have been nice if this could be located in the living area.

Only thing I would say...could have done with a shower in the lodge rather than a bath, but the on-site showers were excellent.

My wife and I couldn't fault the lodge that we were assigned to.
One suggestion, is to remove the second toilet and put in a shower cubicle. This would then make these lodges more desirable, and draw in more customers in the future.
Apart from the lack of a shower cubicle, this lodge had everything that was required, a real home from home.

The lodge was lovely, could have done with somewhere closer for the coats, although we didn't need them this trip!

Absolutely stunning lodge. I only knocked one mark off for fittings due to the hand shower in the bathroom not working (it kept flying off the taps) therefore we couldn't have a shower. It hasn't put us off though, the lodge is great.

A thoroughly great holiday, just perfect for us. The weather was very kind to us and there were plenty of places to walk to or drive to and none a great distance.
Definitely will return.

We stayed in one of the three lodges that are at the site with our children, during the first week of the school summer holidays. The first thing we noticed, as soon as we reached there, was how beautiful the lodges and their gardens looked. They were very well maintained neat and tidy. This was our first family holiday in the UK (thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions) and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Dorset and the adjacent counties/areas are beautiful. Oat Hill Farm Lodges are in a central location. You can drive off each day either in the south or the west and spend the entire day exploring and enjoying the many beaches, cliffs and beautiful countryside that Dorset, Somerset and Devon have to offer. There are beaches that are bustling with people (some overcrowded, depending on the weather) and ones that are much quieter. Speak to Adrian and Neil for some sound advice! The very friendly staff (two couples: Adrian and Nicky; Neil and Lillian) are always on site (they live there) and are available at any time for help. Adrian has a permanent beaming smile and goes the extra mile to look after guests.
Currently, with just three lodges and the several caravan/camping spots, Oat Hill Farm is very tranquil. Even with the summer 'full house' at the site, it was very soothing and relaxing to be there. All the different guests around us in the other two family lodges, caravans and tents were very peaceful and respectful. Before we booked, we didn't know what to expect, but were very happy from the first moment there. Even if you do not visit the plenty of beaches and coastal areas in and around Dorset, just relaxing at Oat Hill Farm should be worth the visit.
The only downside to be fair to fellow holidaymakers reading this review is that, as a family with small children, we were disappointed with the very small fridge freezer. Also, the dishwasher in our lodge may have been old or faulty, as the dishes required rinsing in the sink, after the dishwasher's wash. The sofa bed in our lodge was well past its disposal date. It was almost literally springs. After our first night, we informed Nicky of our children's uncomfortable sleep. She very swiftly brought a couple of extra duvets to lay on top of the springy sofa bed.
Apart from the above, it was a great experience for all of us. Would we go again? Depending on the ever-changing situation with international travelling, I think, we will. I personally would rate Oat Hill Farm Lodges no less than 8 or 9 out of 10. Thanks to Adrian and Nicky, and Neil and Lillian.
