I recently stayed at this charming cabin nestled in the heart of a breathtaking forest. The location was absolutely stunning, offering serene views of towering trees and a tranquil stream nearby. The cabin itself was impeccably clean, with every detail carefully attended to, ensuring a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The facilities were top-notch, from the fully equipped kitchen that made cooking a breeze. Overall, my stay was nothing short of magical, and I can't wait to return to this little slice of paradise.

We booked a weekend for our 40th wedding anniversary and wanted to be able to take the dog. The Kingscliff was ideal, we had room for his crate and plenty of space for us. I love that the front door had a gate, which meant we could have the doors open and George could explore to his heart's content. This is not a place for a cheap weekend, but if you want the quiet and quality, then it could be for you.

Great lodge. Loved the hot tub on the decking leading straight out from the living room.Kitchen was good, had everything in it to comfortably cook family meals which we did. Bedrooms were nice and an ensuite in each was a bonus.

A relaxing and peaceful holiday, it was my third time here and Im never disappointed. The accommodations are spotless, tidy and very well looked after. Although the park was busy it was quiet. There are lots of great walks to go on and the Bistro had the most delicious cakes. Would definitely recommend!

Stayed mid-week with my partner in one of The Elton lodges (with hot tub). Location not too far from the A1/A47 junction and about 15 minutes out if Peterborough/Stamford. Access to the park is via an electric coded gate: so ensure you respond to a email you will receive a few days prior to arrival so you can email your vehicle(s) details to the Parks reception to enable the ANPR camera to recognise your registration number to give you access. Although on the day of arrival, you also get emailed the gate code and your lodge key safe code to enable self check in. Lodges and surrounding areas were highly maintained, very clean and all staff we met were lovely. There is at least one allocated parking spot per lodge and there is an electric car charging point if needed (pod point). There is an undercover area for communal outdoor BBQ'ing and on the lodges patio also an area to put an outdoor portable BBQ if you bring one. There's a outdoor chess set and kids play area. We used the local on site shop for a lovely coffee and cake at a reasonable prices although it shut at 5pm (may change depending on the season)? We went for a few walks around the park on the trails. These were quite muddy due to the time of year but don't let that put you off, although an outdoor area with a tap to wash your boots afterwards would have been ideal. Like others we found some of the trail signs confusing and maybe they could be more colour coded for different routes and the signs pointing in the right direction a little clearer, although you won't get lost. You get a welcome pack in your lodge with a few drinks, tea towel, dish cloth, a little washing up liquid (enough for about 3 washes) and 1 dishwasher tablet. Would we go again? Definitely. We're now looking to book again later in the year.

We had a lovely stay at the weekend. Checkin was so much easier being contactless. We enjoyed the bistro being open even though service was shocking, the food was really nice when it arrived and we were compensated with a bottle of wine for having to wait over an hour for pizza and a panini. The lodge itself was great but we feel they need to invest in some better quality frying pans as the ones there are terrible and were a nightmare to try and wash as one of them wasnt non stick and even cooking an egg was impossible to clean so we apologise for not being able to fully clean the frying pans before leaving!! The beds are really comfy and the hot tub was fab. We look forward to booking again but will probably need to bring our own frying pans next time unless better ones are supplied.

Lovely spacious lodge. Easy access to the hot tub which you can use in all weathers with it being covered. I prefer a high back sofa but they are practical.

Booked a long weekend in the Sutton Pet lodge for a couples break with our pooch. I don't really want to share how wonderful it is as everyone will want to book it, however I know how important it is when I am looking for a break to read honest reviews. Firstly the communication the whole way through was excellent. On arrival barriers opened from number plate recognition and then you follow your welcome email to the lodge. No faffing around in reception just off to the lodge, access key safe and voila! The lodge itself was spotless and had the wow factor inside and out. A lovely human welcome pack of wine, milk, chocolates, tea/coffee/hot chocolate/tassimo pods were presented in a lovely box. A little welcome treat for our pooch would of been nice (maybe something to think about for that extra touch of luxury for future as he defo felt left out when we were eating the chocs ha ha). The walks right from the lodges are just amazing and so many different routes. We did an early sunrise walk one of the days and it really paid off, seeing pheasants, deers and of course the sun rising. Everywhere you go is so beautiful. The doggie had a right sniff fest party going on! There was not enough time to do all the walks but will be back for sure! The hot tub was an amazing temperature, like getting into a luxury bath and really enjoyed this every evening. The robes were a lovely touch also. The shampoo/shower gel/conditioner they supply are very good quality, large bottles not the rubbish little ones you get in hotels. The beds are massive and quality of bedding like being wrapped in a marshmallow! We all slept like logs. All the information you need is on the TV screen and we used chromecast to stream all our chosen app subscriptions with no issues at all. Wifi for us was very good. Park had plenty of dog poo bins (although were overflowing some what on the second day), the bins had extra poo bags also. There is a large sports field and play area for children (we did not use this but plenty of families whilst we were there were having a good time). On site shop/bistro. Only downside to this was no particular opening times that we could establish. You had to contact them. Maybe publishing opening times and days would be beneficial? Everything you need in the kitchen for self catering including a lovely wine cooler. This is a complete switch off quiet site for those who love amazing views, want down time, love walking and nature. No entertainment at the site but with the views you do not need it. Nice BBQ stand if you want to use a disposable BBQ when weather nice also. We will definitely return. Well done to the team who made it a very special weekend.

Second time at Rockingham Forest. We had yet another fantastic stay. Wentworth Lodge came with a hot tub and the accommodation was super clean and we had a welcoming pack with tea, coffee, washing up liquid along with milk in the fridge! New things have developed since we last came, they have a new Bistro along with the shop. It's much closer, so much easier to get to. We had lunch their and it was lovely, Staff were fantastic. I can see it being popular in the summer time. ????We went on many walks around the complex this time, they have set up some lovely picnic benches and stone gravel pathways around the lakes etc... Overall fantastic stay again and highly recommend and have told family and friends. ??????????

The lodge was lovely, twin rooms small however still manageable even for adults. All you needed in the kitchen for any cooking you may undertake, including dishwasher, although only one tablet in the free items so if large group you need more. We did take extra ourself.

A very nice big and airy lodge. Lovely good quality furniture and very comfy beds. Makes a change when staying in a pet friendly lodge. At other sites you get cheap old furniture and it's not comfortable. We all had an en suite room which was nice to have our own space. Kitchen and lounge area was big and airy. Had everything we needed. The welcome packs for us and the dog were a great touch. Was nice to have cleaning items like a mop and hoover as we could clean up after a dog walk. The only down side of our lodge (16) blackthorn was the view of the gas tanks and the footpath that went past the veranda and everythime someone walked past it set the dog off barking. The hot tub was great just a shame you have to walk around the veranda to get to It as it was very cold. Lights on the outside by the hot tub would also be great as its dark with out them. Overall a lovely lodge which we would stay in again.
