Tilfords Darwin Escapes was a great place to get away from it all. The ducks, geese and squirrels kept us amused as we ate our breakfast in the mornings. The lodge had everything you need for a self catering stay. Thank you also to the friendly staff.

Really recommend Tilford lodge retreat for a quiet getaway. If you like walks, its situated next to a big golf course with bridle paths to follow. There is a nice pub next door and there a short walk down to the green where you can find a nice little coffee shop and a convenience store. The lodges have everything you need for a comfortable stay. I liked the under floor heating and it was great to have a dishwasher. Id say the only downside is you only have one car space per lodge but you can get a visitor bay if youre lucky. The lodges are quite close together and we did get some residents chatting outside our bedroom window at 6am but I guess it depends whos staying there at the time!! I would definitely return in the future.

Very comfortable and cosy. Would loved to have stayed longer. Very peaceful. Unfortunately we didn't have time to explore the area but it is beautiful.

Our lodge was beautiful, very clean and comfortable. The kitchen had everything you could need including complimentary washing up liquid and a tea towel. The hot tub was wonderful and bed was very comfortable. We had some issues with the shower on arrival however, these were quickly resolved by Adam who was so kind and helpful. Very close proximity to a beautiful pub next door which serves excellent food. I would highly recommend and we already can't wait to return.

Another great stay @ Tilford Woods Lodge Retreat. Everything you need all under one roof and the Hot Tub as always was a bonus. Our favourite place to unwind and relax every once in a while. We will be back and would recommend to anyone just wanting to escape the hustle and bustle. Lots to do in and around surrounding areas. Look forward to our next time @ Tilford Woods.

Overall the lodge was clean and tidy and served it's purpose :)The reason for only 3 Stars was the lodge in parts was looking a little well used and tired. However, we had the quiet peaceful long weekend we required.

Clean, quiet lodge (except for the music from the pub on Sunday night) over looking the duck pond

The sofa was too soft which meant I sunk down into it and the bed was not comfortable for me either. This is important when you are staying for a week.I felt the products were cheap or overused and need updating. The decor was lovely otherwise.

The large glass doors in the bedroom and sitting area allow the outdoors to come in, wherever you are in the lodge. You can sit for ages on the deck just taking in the view and watching the wildlife. Its quite a romantic ambiance and ideal for a quiet celebration for two.

This lodge has a lovely outlook over the pond, with ducks and waterfowl for neighbours. As already mentioned, this lodge could do with some maintenance and a little updating in places.

The lodge had plenty of room for the three of us. Fridge/freezer, electric hob and microwave. This lodge doesn't have a washing machine, but we didn't need this for our four night stay. Modern looking bathroom.

A comfortable lodge without any of the normal amenities you would expect in a premier lodge - not even a cafetiere - and looking quite tired. Lovely location

Great location next to the duck pond and very quiet and secluded.Lodge had everything you could need for a break away and extremely clean . The furniture is a little dated but, that did not distract from a very comfortable stay . Near to a love golf course with fantastic views and a good pub next door . Very good base for exploring all that the area has to offer .

Some things could do with a little updating. We have been before and some of the welcome pack is now very basic i.e dishwasher tablets, biscuits etc are no longer provided

Cosy, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Peaceful site. The lodge was warm and the bathroom modern with fluffy white towels. The decor is a little dated but we expected that from the other reviews wed read.

We stayed in the Lodge in January. The staff were friendly and helpful. The Lodge was pristine inside, very clean and warm. It was well equipped with all the items that we needed. It was in a superb location, overlooking the duck pond, which gave us the tranquillity that we wanted at that time. Although we weren't there to explore the surrounding area, we found the overall position of the site excellent, as a base to get to other places. The park is directly next to the golf course, which allows you immediate access to a quiet, woodland walk. There is a small shop on site that was well stocked with all basic items. Our stay in Lodge 3 was in the best location of the park, overlooking the pond. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

Very nice log cabin, in a lovely location, and close to charming historic towns. Lots of ducks to feed with seeds from the kiosk. Great memories. Thank you.
