Fun Days Out in Gwynedd

Treasure Island Fun Centre is situated in the Anglesey area of North of Wales and there is really no better place to take children on a rainy day. The fantastic all weather attraction features a huge array of slides, chutes, climbing frames, ball pools and mazes. Energetic kids can really let of steam while the grown ups can relax in the cafe with a drink and a snack. There are separate areas four younger children to play safely, so no one is left out of the fun.

Penrhyn Castle is a neo-Norman castle is located in the stunning Gwynedd region of Wales. The castle will appeal to those who enjoy sites of historical interest as well as to families looking to enjoy a fun day out. The Castle is in very good condition and guided tours are on offer. Don't miss a look at the grand hall with its exquisite collection of paintings or the Victorian Kitchen which gives amazing insight into the running of the Castle. Other highlights include the Servants Rooms and the one ton slate bed which was originally made for Queen Victoria.

This attraction is really something special and has reached the finals of the "Best Family Day Out" category in the National Tourism Awards for Wales.  It's actually the only attraction in North Wales to be shortlisted for this prestigious award. Located in the Snowdonia region there are many rides and activities including Jungle Boat Adventure, Den Building, Green Dragon Roller Caoster, Treetop Towers and the BareFoot Trail.  Kids of all ages will love it here and we think it's excellent value as well.

Located in the North of Wales with a spectacular setting high above Colwyn Bay this is a lovely zoo which makes an excellent family day out.  Highlights include the Chimp Encounter, Penguin Parades, Bear Falls and the Children's Farm.  The setting is perfect for walking around and you can take in the superb scenery, roam the wooded pathways and relax on the grassy slopes.  There are many rare and endangered species to see and learn about including the Snow Leopards and the Red Pandas not to mention the Sumatran Tigers. You can also buy the experience of being a zoo keeper for a day, either for yourself or as a gift.

Really lovely lodge with modern and high quality furniture and fittings. Extremely spacious and very well set out. Cleanliness was excellent.

There was no 'welcome pack' with milk, coffee, tea etc (so make sure you take your own supply).

The hot tub was great and the upstairs bedroom balcony was a lovely feature. Overall it was a fab holiday and I would definitly go back and also recommend them to others.

The lodge (No.20)was comfortable and lovely. It was in a quiet and serene area, yet the village was just with in walking distance. The lodge was spacious and having en-suites in all four bedrooms made it so good as we were two families. There was ample parking spaces. The supply of towels and kitchen equipment was good.

There was no information booklet which we find in most accommodations. We had to ask for it and what was given to us was not really useful. We could not use the phones to contact the owner to report some issues as there was no signal and we later found where they live so it was ok. She was very helpful when we reported about the front door lock as we could not lock the door. She knew about this as someone else had reported it. She locked the door for us with great difficulty and we did not use the door since as we had the back door and the door from the kitchen. However it should have been sorted out before our arrival.

The door handle to the en-suite in the main bedroom was broken and so was the toilet paper dispenser, the oven was dirty and we had to clean it, the freezer was full of ice as it was not defrosted before our arrival, the shower room in the twin bedroom opposite the double bedroom upstairs could not be used as the water kept coming out and once it leaked down the ceiling downstairs. Luckily we had enough bathrooms we could use.

Lovely lodge; walking distance from small town with shop and two pubs. Ideal weekend getaway. Hot tub excellent. Only drawback no WiFi.
Had a week away in December what a amazing lodge, it's even better than the pictures once you there, fully equipped as everything you need, owners very friendly & helpful. We will be definitely returning in the near future 😀😀
I booked this lodge as a surprise for my friends 50th, the lodge is spacious well equipped and very clean, the location is lovely, it was very relaxing and the hot tub was amazing lots of room easily fit 6 people in it, we had an amazing wkd and I would recommend Artro lodges.

Artro Lodges was so easy to find, just off the main road through Llanbedr, and the location and setting was lovely, quiet and well maintained - perfect for our needs. The pretty little village itself is only a few minutes walk away and with everything you would need (local shop and a pub that does excellent food).
We absolutley loved our stay and will be returning!
It was a stunning lodge very very Clean and very cosy. Ideal for our Honeymoon
The Lodge was lovely however we found the Hosts unavailable most of the time - we all thought the area could be cleaned up as it was very untidy on entry we did worry about the amount of chlorine or additives in the hot tub added daily - we all had a rash at the end of the 4 days & lots of itching but yes if the price was cheaper we would go back purely for the lodge
We had an absolute ball and will definitely be coming next year. The only thing I would say is that wifi is a must
Had a great stay may be some sort of cover over the hot tub could be looked into but we still braved it even in the rain lol
