Artro Lodges are an excellent choice for anyone looking to get away from it all and relax. The tranquil setting within the rolling hills of Snowdonia is the perfect retreat to recharge your batteries.  This is an area of outstanding natural beauty and also one of dramatically contrasting landscapes. The lush green hills give way to rugged coasts making this a wonderful place for nature and beach lovers.

Gwynedd is a charming place for a holiday. Local attractions include the Snowdon Mountain Railway where you can sit back and relax while enjoying the breathtaking scenery. The seaside town of Porthmadog has a steam railway which children will love and those who watched the TV series The Prisoner may wish to visit the village of Portmeirion where the show was set.  If you like the outdoors the area is perfect for walking and cycling.  Fishing, canoeing and quad biking are also available close by.

Artro Lodges are built on two levels providing very spacious accommodation. The lodges sleep up to six people and have a master suite with balcony as well as another double and one twin bedroom. There are several luxurious touches such as flat screen TV, dishwasher and even private outdoor hot tub!

Reviewers of Artro Lodges have described the standard of accommodation as superb and talked of the tasteful furnishings and luxurious feel of the lodges. The site itself has been highly praised with one recent visitor saying that the park has been well planned and is very safe for children.

Really lovely lodge with modern and high quality furniture and fittings. Extremely spacious and very well set out. Cleanliness was excellent.

There was no 'welcome pack' with milk, coffee, tea etc (so make sure you take your own supply).

The hot tub was great and the upstairs bedroom balcony was a lovely feature. Overall it was a fab holiday and I would definitly go back and also recommend them to others.

The lodge (No.20)was comfortable and lovely. It was in a quiet and serene area, yet the village was just with in walking distance. The lodge was spacious and having en-suites in all four bedrooms made it so good as we were two families. There was ample parking spaces. The supply of towels and kitchen equipment was good.

There was no information booklet which we find in most accommodations. We had to ask for it and what was given to us was not really useful. We could not use the phones to contact the owner to report some issues as there was no signal and we later found where they live so it was ok. She was very helpful when we reported about the front door lock as we could not lock the door. She knew about this as someone else had reported it. She locked the door for us with great difficulty and we did not use the door since as we had the back door and the door from the kitchen. However it should have been sorted out before our arrival.

The door handle to the en-suite in the main bedroom was broken and so was the toilet paper dispenser, the oven was dirty and we had to clean it, the freezer was full of ice as it was not defrosted before our arrival, the shower room in the twin bedroom opposite the double bedroom upstairs could not be used as the water kept coming out and once it leaked down the ceiling downstairs. Luckily we had enough bathrooms we could use.

We have stayed in a few lodges in different places over the years but I think it’s fair to say this was the best and best payed out. We had a lovely time. The lodge had everything you could possibly need. Location was great lovely little pub called the vic just around the corner and also a little shop. The grounds of the lodge were also very clean. We will definitely be back again.
Nicola
Absolutely stunning lodges in a stunning location. So peaceful. I have been twice with friends and have booked again. Cannot fault it at all

We stayed in 3 x 6 birth lodges for a 50th birthday and had a fantastic time! Lovely, clean, spacious lodges, lovely relaxing weekend in the hothub! Includes amazing 1st-floor bedroom balconies, overlooking the woodland and log burner included, which was an added bonus that we didn't except. Kitchen had plenty of appliances which made it easy for us to cook and prepare dinner each night. Downsides - 1 out of 3 hot tubs needed a clean around the inside edge, cracked glasses in the cupboard when we arrived and lack of mirrors in the upstairs bedrooms in one of the lodges. Lodges all overlook each other and we unluckily had noisy neighbours in the 8 birth lodge! However, location is superb, walking distance to 2 pubs and a village bakery/shop. Short drive to Harlech, where there's a castle to visit/beach and Chinese takeaway. But all in all, great place and lovely owners!

This was our second year staying at the lodge and as the first time the whole family enjoyed every minute! Have already recommended to many friends & family ☺
