Our Lodge was very comfortable and felt like a luxury suite in a hotel but self contained. I would recommend Bath Mill Lodge Retreat and I'm only sorry that we didn't have more than one night there.
Will be returning!!!
Modern, well equipped and clean lodges. A real home from home.
The lodge was very clean and furnished to a high standard. The bed and bedding was also of good quality. It was a lovely touch to have family board games in the lodge, which we enjoyed using. The kitchen was well equipped.
We had a wonderful time .i can't rate the restaurant as we didn't eat in the restaurant.
Lovely and relaxing and peaceful
Our second stay at a Darwin Escapes lodge and this one, like the last, was excellent. The lodges are modern and exceptionally equipped, and the grounds are very well maintained. The bistro was nice, food of good quality and lovely outside seating area. We liked the TV service, although it is a shame there is not a DVD player. Location is excellent, short drive to Bath and very easy to find. We only encountered a couple of small issues, on arrival initially there was a strong smell of dog in our lodge and paw prints over the windows and doors. This was not a dog permitted lodge so more a case of ignorance of the previous occupants than a park failing. The issue was resolved quickly as staff switched us to another lodge. The other is that throughout the weekend there were unaccompanied children riding skateboards and scooters up and down (at speed) the hill by our lodge, they were oblivious to cars and it was quite stressful watching the near misses and getting our car in and out. Only other disappointment was that the bistro closes so early for food, 1700 on Sunday.
My sister, her daughter and two children were very happy in their lodge.
I have given it an overall rating of 9 but only because it was clean but not immaculate. cobwebs in corners and dust and hair in corners of bath rooms.Windows were quite grubby. But other than that it was lovely. Very comfy beds and sofa. Well equipt kitchen. Nice home from home.
Modern, clean and stylish, it was perfect, every little detail had been thought of.
Staff were brilliant, coping with my brother who was not always as polite as he might have been! A note of what was not included would also have been helpful, but for a luxury retreat, adequate supplies of toilet rolls and bin bags was expected (though the shortage was remedied promptly!) If a party of 6 is booked into the appropriate (very clean on arrival) size lodge, then surely more than 2 part toilet rolls and 2 bin bags? We were part of a group of 16, catering together, so lots more rubbish than average. (The fish and chips from Twerton were delicious!). Overall, though a good experience, and I would come back.
One of the best lodge we have stayed in
A wonderful relaxing environment, with very friendly staff. The grounds are well kept and clean.
A beautiful lodge in a beautiful setting.
We had an excellent stay. Really relaxing place, lovely cabins and restaurant with well kept grounds. The staff were especially nice also and very personable.
Beautiful Lodges set in a quiet location and very convenient for Bath city centre.
This is the only self-catering accommodation we have booked for a second time. It really suits our family and it's a beautiful area to explore.
