Holderness Country Park has a welcoming feel and this could be because it is family run. There is so much to like about this park from the panoramic countryside views to the coarse fishing pond.  The seaside town of Withernsea is just 5 minutes drive away with plenty of local amenities.

The local village Roos is also well worth a visit with shops, pubs and restaurants right on the doorstep.  The tourist town of beverley is also easily accessible with a range of pubs, shops and cafes.

Accommodation at Holderness Country Park is modern and contemporary.  The Larkin Lodge sleeps up to 4 and has a stylish open plan interior with outdoor decking area.  Not to mention those glorious East Yorkshire countryside views.

For a great day out head to Freeport Hornsea - a shopper's paradise.  There are some great value shops, lovely eateries and a kids play area too.

Fun Days Out in Yorkshire Moors & Coast

Jorvik Viking Centre is a fun and educational attraction offering visitors the chance to learn all about the Viking-Age city of Jorvik. Thanks to the Archaeologists from York Archaeological Trust the amazing houses, workshops and backyards of the Viking-Age city of Jorvik are on display and give a clear insight to the way of life all those years ago.  The site aims to offer an interactive experience with the state of the art time capsule and the blacksmith's furnace being the top attractions.

If you are enjoying a lodge break in the Yorkshire Moors and Coast then a day trip to the Scarborough Sea Life and Marine Sanctuary highly recommended. This centre is one of the regions most popular attractions and is educational as well as fun. Visitors will enjoy a journey beneath the waves, meeting many strange, beautiful and fascinating creatures of the deep. As well as mighty sharks and beautiful rays guests can get up close to some more common creatures including star fish and can also meet the otters, seals and penguins at feeding time. The site also has children's play area and picnic tables as well as a restaurant and souvenir shop. Family tickets cost 46.80 but the Tourist Information Centres in Scarborough, Whitby or Filey often offer fantastic discounts.

Lodge was fantastic. Home from home, lovely and clean with all mod cons, with a welcoming bottle of wine!..only negative it had a picnic table on decking, a couple of chairs would of been better for us oldies. But would still return.

Acomodation could not be better.

The lodge itself was superb, large and well equipped and nice and modern. The park itself was extremely well maintained and set in very tranquil surroundings. If you want peace and quiet, then this is the place for you. But if you want something a bit more lively then you will not find it in or around this area.
Angela
Our 2nd visit, so peaceful and quiet in lovely countryside
James
If looking for a quiet break away from it all, this does. Lodge was lovely and relaxing with all furnishing clean and well decorated.
Colin
Very comfortable lodge with no short comings.
Leslie
This is a superb lodge on a very tranquil and small park. An ideal base to explore the Yorkshire coast. It was so pleasant we were minded to consider an investment on the park, but ultimately it is very remote with no immediate walk-able shops or pub/ restaurant. Do not let that put you off if you want a nice peaceful spot, in spacious modern, clean and well appointed accommodation.
William
Lovely few days away from a busy life
LYNN
Lovely lodge suited us ideally with elderly parents. It was well equipped and in a very pleasant peaceful location. Our only suggestion would be for more crockery - only 4 of everything and no small plates was very limiting and didn't allow for giving a friend a cuppa as well.
Rachel
We stayed for a long weekend which we booked at short notice, and we had a really nice time, we were really impressed with the size and cleanliness of the lodge, only downside which would of been helpful to know before we arrived is that there would be no one there to greet us and that the lodge was left open with keys inside! There's no reception or anything if a local chap hadn't been doing his garden we wouldn't of known and been stuck outside. Though on the whole we had a get stay it was very peaceful and picturesque . Hornsea beach was lovely to visit and very clean x
