Yet again another fantastic holiday at Ingoldales. Received clear check in instructions, and a phone call on the evening to make sure we had settled in OK and where to go if we needed help/extra towels etc. Site itself was very quiet. Caravan was extremely clean. Love the gate on the verandah for the kids. Less than a 2 minute walk from fantasy island and the beach. Will 100% come again!

Lovely location set away from main park and secluded by a hedge.Ideal for my family of 4 who like to have some peace and quite after along day out enjoying the sights and sounds of Skegness. The caravan was clean and roomy with the addition of good cooking facilities and two bathrooms.I felt it was slightly overpriced for what you could normally rent a caravan for but for me it was worth it due to the privacy.Would recommend a stay here if you don't mind paying a bit extra.

We arrived after reception had closed. My phone battery was flat so could not read the txt with instructions. My husband phoned number on booking Form and lady who answered was VERY helpful in helping us find our holiday home. Unfortunately it took a while and a lot of running around for my husband who is 75. We found it eventually behind a house which in our opinion was a stupid place to put it. We couldnt park anywhere near the home so my husband had to trudge back and forward carrying all our belongings . I am 78 and disabled and in a wheelchair so I was no help and we had this nightmare walk through the garden and gravel drive every time we went out. Have you ever tried pushing a wheelchair over gravel? A small convenience store selling morning papers, milk etc incorporated in the reception office would have been very handy as we were miles from anywhere

We stayed in the bungalow in the middle of the park. It was very dirty, there were cobwebs everywhere, 2 used cotton buds on the floor, the cooker top was dirty, there was a hole in the bathroom floor, the light switches had hand marks on them, there was dust everywhere, no spare bedding which was needed as there was a client and 2 staff there, the place had a horrible smell, possibly damp. It was meant to be a place for someone with a disability but was too dirty and the bathroom floor unsafe because although meant to be a wet room water didn't drain, the floor was slippery when wet and there was a hole in the floor

Brilliant & cosy cottage far enough out the way to be secluded but close enough to local amenities. Amazing hotub & bathroom with underfloor heating throughout tops it off. The owners, Rob & Sharon are wonderful! (And of course Bonnie) Will definitely be coming back again for longer ASAP!!
Emma
Beautiful cottage with hot tub and log burner. lovely hosts, peaceful, perfect for our mini break. Hope to return for longer soon!
Phoebe
Really well equipped house, lovely and warm too which was so nice on a rainy December day! Bath was just lovely and a nice big shower! The property is under a flight path - this did not disturb us at all! Dont be put off! A great location for dogs who hate fireworks as it's in the middle of nowhere. Really beautiful, well converted property. Thank you!
Andrew
It was everything we wanted for our weekend away and we loved staying here. We'll definitely be back! Our pups absolutely loved the underfloor heating and had so much fun in the garden. In fact Luna came home with a strained tail and according to the vet it was because she was wagging it so much over the weekend!! Very happy pups and hoomans!
Simon
Lovely cottage. Great location for us. Away from the hustle and bustle. Great hot tub . Lovely helpful non intrusive owners. They have it just right!
Brooke
Absolutely loved how well maintained and equipped this cottage is. Plenty of dog walks right on the doorstep. Very friendly host, they were so efficient and communication was excellent. We enjoyed meeting the animals on the farm and the very curious pig penelope. Perfect escape for us and the doggos. Will definitely be back, brilliant value!! Highly recommend.
Libby
Beautiful property, spotlessly clean, well equipped and very comfortable, had a fabulous break, hot tub amazing x
James
Very kind and considerate owners. Couldnt be better. Enormously helpful and extremely pleasant. Charming half-timbered cottage with a great strong shower, cosy kitchen & living room combination and very comfortable bed. Fantastic parking directly next to the rented cottage. Well heated and very charming, and spotlessly clean. Great walks across the fields to the local village of Thaxted and of course within easy travelling distance of the village, replete with half-timbered houses and windmill.
Annemieke
We had a wonderful time in Goddard Mead. The cottage was very complete and there were walks on the doorstep. The welcome and stay was very warm. The owners are lovely people.
Carol
The owners Rob & Sharon, have gone to a great deal of work to sympathetically convert this historic building & we couldn't have had a warmer greeting from them both & of course Bonnie. Goddard's Mead has everything you need for a relaxing and comfortable stay. The location is in a great area of Essex and would recommend taking the time to wander around Thaxted and other villages/towns nearby to discover it's fascinating history & buildings.
Inderjit
Such a lovely place to stay in a really beautiful, private location. The owners were really friendly and helpful, nearby if needed but without breaking that sense of privacy. The hot tub was perfect after a day of cycling! One thing to be aware of, the cottage is right under Stansted's flight path, and so there's a lot of aircraft noise. It only took us a couple of hours to get used to it and it didn't spoil our holiday at all, but something to be aware of if you're sensitive to noise.
Richard
The lovely cottage is situated on a working farm, but is very private. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are delightful. The cottage is very spacious with good equipment in the kitchen and the bathroom. The bed is really comfortable. The garden is secluded; dog proof and with good furniture. There are numerous walks around. Thaxted has good restaurants. We liked The Star and The Maypole. The Swan and the Indian are not bad either. We thoroughly recommend this place.
Denise
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Sharon and Robert were great hosts and made us feel very welcome. The accommodation had everything we needed and was clean, comfortable and secure for our dog Archie. The location was ideal too with plenty of walks to find and Thaxted and surrounding villages are lovely places to visit. We felt our batteries had certainly been recharged during our week and we enjoyed our relaxing break!
Sharon
Stayed here for a week from 15 to 22 July with our 2 mini daschund girls who thoroughly enjoyed there stay making new friends in the village of thaxted. The cottage is lovely especially the hot tub a bonus as it was the hottest days of the year so the water was coolled so it was more refreshing the hosts were very welcoming was nice to see there horses being taken to the fields each day you are on the flight path near stansted but I enjoyed watching the planes come in would definitely recommend
Fleur
Lovely accommodation, very peaceful and relaxing and great for dogs as the garden is fully inclosed
Antonia
Had such a lovely, relaxing break. Cottage was immaculate, equipped with everything you need and some lovely added extras too. Couldnt recommended more
Rachel
Had a lovely weekend away staying here. Would love to come back later on in the year.
Penny
Lovely friendly owners. Couldnt do enough when the power went down due to the storm. Very well equipped and clean. Very warm cottage. Our dog enjoyed the enclosed outside space and us the hot tub!
Georgina
Perfect venue for a quiet break away. Sharon and Robert have thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable and comfortable. Although this was our second visit it definitely will not be our last.
Sarah
Beautiful cottage in a lovely quiet location. Ideal to escape and relax. Hot tub was amazing and the cottage was immaculate with everything you needed. Lots of walks close by and within the village reach. Had such a wonderful time. Couldnt recommend enough.
Tracey
