Lovely lodge spotlessly clean, felt very safe and the hot tub was lovely. Shops were a short drive away for extra supplies. Bill was really helpful and nothing was too much trouble

We had a great time at King Richards Lodges - everything was pristinely and we would stay there again. Only thing that could be improved would be the weather!

Probably the best lodge we have stayed in, would highly recommend and will be booking again.

Date of stay: 10th February 2020
Stayed at lodge number 3 for 3 nights, everything was clean and well presented. All the cooking utensils we could need were available along with a dishwasher for easy cleaning and drying.
Shops were only a few minutes drive away which was very convenient as we could get everything we needed to cook, no problem.
The hot tub was very high spec so we spent the majority of our nights in there before sitting down to watch tv, which had everything we could need on it.
All in all a very enjoyable experience, would definitely do it again

It was a lovely lodge with everything you would need. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen has excellent facilities.

The hot tubs are in plain view for all, but as there are a lot of remarks about that, I would guess the plan is to make them more private in the future.

There is a busy road nearby, but it doesn't really affect your sleep.

The deposit asked for is in cash, which I found quite odd, better to accept a debit card and leave the amount as pending unless required to be taken.

If the hot tub was more private then would definitely come back again.

We had a nice relaxing stay. The lodges are equipped with all your essentials and for saying its located by a main road, you can hardly hear any noise. The hot tubs are of good quality. The only down side is they cannot be used on the first night due to the amount of time they take to heat up. Apart from that, everything else was perfect. Would certainly recommend.

Our experience was a bit of a mixed bag. The lodge itself was new and cozy and was nicely furnished.

The location was nice and quiet, which was perfect for us. But if you are planning to walk to a nearby pub this would not be too practical as the site is situated on a very busy road.

Our hot tub was cold on arrival and was not in the process of heating up. Bill called one of his staff out who was not particularly pleasant and made it clear he could not be held responsible for ensuring all 10 hot tubs on the site were actually heating up. He did some checks and said it was an airlock and began to heat at around 19:00. The hot tub was not useable until around 11:00 the next morning, not ideal as this was the reason we booked the lodge.

On leaving and clearing the lodge we found a Stanley knife down the side of a bed in the twin room which was unused during our stay, thankfully we didn't have a young child in the room.

I brought my girlfriend and 2 children (9 and 12) up for a weeks little break. Linda met us at the gate to welcome us and showed us around our lodge which was number 10. It was beautifully clean and well presented. Linda was very helpful getting extra towels and robes for the little ones so they could jump straight in the hot tub (their favourite part). Only a short distance to local shops for food and drinks. The surroundings were beautiful and tranquil. Had one issue with the Bluetooth speaker not working on the hot tub, made one call and Bill was right round and sorted it! King Richards Lodges are wonderful and I would honestly recommend anyone to stay here! Will definitely be coming back again! Thank you!

Me and my husband stayed at King Richards country lodges for a long weekend, We were met by the owners when we arrived they were very pleasant they showed us around and told us everything we need to know, the lodges are brand-new and we were the 1st to stay in them,They are set back off the busy main road, but the road traffic did not bother us as you could not hear it when you were in the lodge,Its a beautiful well looked after Lodge Park there are 10 lodges which all have fantastic views over the countryside. The lodge was very spacious and immaculately clean with lovely furnishings very comfy king-size bed both bedrooms were of a good size with large fitted wardrobes in both . The bathroom was a good size with bath with overhead shower, there was a decking area with comfortable garden furniture . There is a lovely large hot tub at the side of the lodge where we spent our nights relaxing . We had a lovely relaxing break just what we needed.
Lorna, Manchester
Best staycation so far and cant wait to bring the family back to enjoy all the great things the lodged have to offer didnt need to go anywhere because they had everything we needed
Michele, Oxfordshire
An ideal place for some peace and quiet, will definitely be back soon.
Paul, West Lothian
Excellent time had by my family (Inc 5 & 10 year olds).
Hot tub, accommodation and setting are excellent.
There is a requirement for £150 deposit which is fine, but had to be in cash, which was a bit strange.
Checkout needs to be organised a a bit better, we had to wait 40 minutes before we could have the deposit returned to us, this is due to no reception, instead waiting on being seen by those busy with the changeover elsewhere on the site - we had intended getting away at 9am, but closer to 10am by the time the accommodation had been inspected prior to leaving.
Karen, Durham
Had a brilliant time
Nicola, Hull
A nice little break away from home.
