Whitemead Forest Park

Ideally situated lodge in Forest area .Comfortable, warm and maintained to a high standard .sufficient furniture & fixtures .Good and inviting outside area with quality table & chairs .

Lodges were very well equipped and spacious. The beds were a bit hard and the sofa would have been nicer and more comfortable if it was a fabric sofa like the ones in the 3 bedroom lodges. Overall, nice accommodation.

Regarding the accommodation, the fan in the bathroom was noisy and the sofa bed below par. Comfortable and clean with a great hot tub.

Lovely apartment, spacious and clean. Just can be a bit noisy as you can hear your neighbours very clearly which is why it isnt 5 star.

Well equipped pod, clean and comfortable

Lovely staycation, we chose pods as its a different style of sleeping as opposed to the apartments etc. Overall nice but the sofas do have an old smell in them due to lack of cleaning/animal smell due to pets allowed.

Immaculate and a pleasure to stay in. Every need catered for. Dishwasher included which wasn't mentioned on website.

Brilliant glamping pod holiday with the kids!

Lovely outdoorsy holiday away with my husband and my nearly 6-year-old. We swam in the lovely pool every day, lifeguards were friendly and helpful.We enjoyed just a few of the many the lovely walks in the surrounding area. Its lots of trials to keep the kids busy along the way if youre trying to encourage long. We didnt travel beyond 10 minutes of the holiday complex!Theres an on-site pub which serves food (which looked great, although we didnt eat there) which was brilliant and staff are all really friendly. The place is well kept and there was much more today there than we had the opportunity to experience. We sampled the clubhouse and the mini disco one night which my daughter enjoyed and in hindsight shouldve made more time for this.My only grumble which is more advice - if youre looking to book an apartment, I would suggest booking a top floor one as the people staying above us were loudly running / walking around morning, noon and night which was irritating at 1am. But I should have considered this prior. If you want to enjoy a low-cost trip away in the great outdoors where you will pay for little more than parking and enjoy and all inclusive swim daily. This place is a win winner. We knew it would be wet and rainy, and that made it all the more fun - wellies and waterproofs a must!

Had everything you would need. If I had to find something which would have made it better, it would be a dishwasher! But they have thought of everything else.

We stayed in a hot tub lodge in December for a family break.Excellent location. Pub within walking distance, great area.Cabin was cosy and comfortable.Ensure you take with you some dishwasher tabs; washing up liquid; cloths; tea towel; bin bags; hand soap and some spare loo roll!Excellent facilities - mini disco, pool, supermarket; bar, restaurant.Really happy with our stay - very clean and tidy!

Pull out bed was so thin it was unusable

Lack of proper internet is a bit difficult, even though there is free wifi, some traffic (email) is blocked. There is no mobile carrier signal at all so if you want to collect work email you need to drive out to high ground to get data. Other than that, its a beautiful place and the staff are friendly and helpful.

Was very impressed with the apartment, plenty of space and well situated for accessibility to pool etc. Toddler/baby Pool was a bit cold for our granddaughter of 18 months ,so we were not able to stay long. Well planned site layout and lovely walks nearby.

Was a lovely holiday, children loved it, loys pf fun however I was not happy with location offered again 2 years running, in the corner, end property, very dark, area lots of brushes outside lounge and front door, was unable to open lounge sliding door due to brushes very close and only view to bushes from front door. Very dark location, hopefully not a dark brushes spot next year

Lodge warm and comfortable and good facilities on site. I think it would be a good idea to have an indoor eating area that you can take dogs in for the winter at least because although the outdoor area is very good it is too cold to sit outside.

With only a long weekend stay we were thoroughly impressed with the facilities on site and the helpful, friendly staff who were always quick to give advice or fix a problem. The stay wasnt cheap (as it was in the summer holiday) and the lodge I felt could have done with a little more attention to detail when cleaning (cobwebs in windows and broken window fixtures). However the complex was fantastic and safe and meant we could all do what we wanted to do (children off on bikes or swimming whilst we used the gym or sat in the bar). I would highly recommend for families and would love to book again (perhaps when the price is a little lower in term time!).

Recycling was not made as easy as we would hope.. Wed have liked more bins on site and bags provided in our apartment. We feel a small tv in the twin room would be good. Otherwise all good, thank you.

WE THOROUGHLY ENJOYED OUR LONG WEEKEND AND LOOK FORWARD TO ANOTHER VISIT. HOWEVER, THE SECOND BEDROOM HAD 2 SINGLE BEDS OF DIFFERING HEIGHTS (ABOUT 3")! THIS WASN'T GREAT WHEN THEY WERE PUSHED TOGETHER FOR OUR DAUGHTER AND BOYFRIEND!ALSO, THE DECKING AREAS WERE NOT TIDY WITH OLD GRASS CUTTINGS ALL AROUND.FINALLY, FOR FIRST-TIMERS LIKE US, A SUGGESTED "BRING WITH YOU" LIST WOULD BE HELPFUL. E.G. CONDIMENTS, COOKING INGREDIENTS, TOILETERIES.

We had a great family holiday, and we are definitely visiting again. Value for money. Great facilities and lovely location.

Could of done with a small stove in the accommodation but other than that all very nice

We have slept on far less comfortable beds and coped with far smaller ensuite facilities in many hotels during our previous holidays. The Mega Pod X was perfect.
