4 night weekend break booked through Hoseasons. Stayed in the Berkeley Elite Spa, number 9 with 2 adults and 2 dogs.Check in was easy through a key safe which made for a great no fuss arrival and check out. Glass bottle of apple juice and treats for the dog a nice welcome arrival. Welcome pack was great and explained what was nearby and essentials such as local vets, drs etc.Beautifully decorated lodges, great facilities including the hot tub, log burner and sauna. Lodge was lovely and warm and the underfloor heating kept it nice and cosy. Lodge was very spacious. Due to the site being only dimly light at night it provided a great opportunity to sit in the hot tub and watch the stars clearly and listen to the stream that runs past.Site very quiet which was perfect for us and a great base for exploring the local area. We visited the Malvern Hills, Ross on Wye and Ledbury which were all worth the visit. China Boy Jo in Ross on Wye was recommended by the site and it was truly delicious. The WIFI is excellent and a smart tv is provided in the lodge. We took our fire stick and were able to watch things clearly unlike previous lodges we have visited where the WIFI left us buffering. Only negatives (hardly!)Oven was a bit confusing to use, could have done with some instructions. If you have a dog then the area behind the lodge isnt secure so your dog can run off. Would not hesitate to recommend this site or the lodges. It provided the much welcomed relaxing break we had hoped for.

We have just spent a week here and it was just the downtime we needed. The lodge was immaculately clean and spacious and had everything you needed. Instructions on how to use the appliances would have been useful, but Sharon was really helpful and soon had us up to speed. Excellent location, peaceful and quiet. We will definitely return.

The kitchen was a joy to use and the local shops and pubs were lovely. You can even get fresh eggs from a house up the lane. Everything in the lodge was perfectly clean when we arrived. The hot tub was great to use after a busy day.Our only issue was a noisy bed, but Im sure the frame will have been tightened by now.

What a wonderful location picturesque, lots of lovely dog and family friendly walks. We spent one day in Ross doing a treasure hunt and picnic, while we spent another day relaxing and enjoying the sight. We had four generations with us and they all had a lovely time.

Lodge was spotless and couldn't fault it in that way.Has central heating and an electric heater. Did have to use the electric heater more often to stay warm as the central heating would go off. Plenty of storage space in kitchen and bathroom. The only issue I had was a lack of plug sockets in the bedrooms. Couldn't dry my hair in the bedroom as there wasn't a socket behind the dressing table so had to take the mirror and hair dryer into the kitchen to dry my hair ????.Beds were comfortable and we all slept well.

Lovely weekend break. We stayed in a semi detached lodge, with hot tub and the decking area was very private and enclosed which was excellent for our dog. The lodge was warm and cosy and very clean but there isnt a dishwasher which we really missed! Take a torch for night time as its pitch black outside the front of the lodge. We found it to be very quiet and peaceful, the country lanes and signposted footpaths are perfect for a dog walk but for more of a day out head to the Forest of Dean Beechenhurst or Symands Yat or walk up some of the Malvern hills, we did the Herefordshire Beacon and stopped off at Ledbury for a little wander. You really need the use of a car but everywhere we visited was within a 30 min drive.

We had a very enjoyable, comfortable stay, the Dymock provided everything we needed. This was our first holiday with our dog and it was so nice for her to be welcomed with the towel and biscuit on arrival. The Dymock was the perfect size for 2 adults and provided everything we needed during our stay. The staff we met were lovely and helpful.Just a few points to mention.1. The shower head could not be height adjusted2. The Barbecue was unusable, the griddle was very rusty. it had obviously not been used for some time as it had cobwebs in and on it and dirt and leaves around the base. 3 The small veranda area was ok, except again there were a lot of cobwebs.

If you are looking for a beautifully furnished comfortable lodge in a quiet countryside
Location I would strongly recommend you look at this
Lisa
Peaceful location in the pretty Gloucestershire countryside. The lodge was well decorated, immaculately clean and everything worked as it should. Toiletries, bin bags, toilet roll and washing up equipment were provided along with tea towels. This is one of the best self catering lodges I have stayed in. There is one pub in reasonable walking distance where we had a good meal and this was a good base for us to visit Ross on Wye, WWT Slimbridge, Gloucester, Monmouth and Little Dean Jail.
Martyn
Perfectly situated to enjoy the Welsh Marches and Gloucestershire. Very comfortable lodge in an extremely quiet environment offering perfect and comfortable nights sleep.

An excellent place to stay, Sharon (The Wardon) was very helpful and professional. The lodge we stayed in was clean and of a high standard, I would book a lodge there again in the future, a perfect retreat overall.
Ian
Wow. One big chill out.

Great Lodge, in a very quiet and relaxing location. The lodge had everything we needed for our weekend away. The lodge was clean and tidy. We had a amazing weekend as a family and was perfectly located for us to visit all the places we planned to visit in the Cotswolds and surrounding area. Could not of asked for more!!
Georgina
Had great time, particularly loved hot tub.
Catherine
Sharon was a fantastic host, she could not have done more for us. The lodges were clean and fairly well equipped. The site was so peaceful and quiet. The cleaners were also fantastic. Can not speak too highly of the staff here. We will definitely be back.
Duncan
We had a fantastic stay at Ford Farm Lodges (we were in Kilcot Elite Spa 2, at the very end of the site). The lodge and site were immaculately kept. Sharon (the manager) and staff were all so friendly and helpful, with great suggestions on local walks and where to eat. The hot tub was excellent and much needed for aching joints after long walks! The nearest town, Newent, is two miles away and has a well-stocked Co-Op and Spar. The surrounding area is beautiful, with local walks straight from the lodge possible and the Malvern Hills, Wye Valley (visit Symonds Yat, it's a must!) and the heart of the Forest of Dean all only a few miles away. The only slight disappointment (and in no way related to the lodge owners) was the terrible state of parts of the local footpaths -- overgrown with nettles and/or brambles, broken styles and missing signs were all evident - some paths we simply had to give up on -- shame on the local councils for allowing this to happen! In contrast, the paths on and around the Malvern Hills and Wye valley were excellent. For eating out, we would recommend the Kilcot Inn (a 1 mile walk from the lodge), Alma Inn, Linton (a pleasant 2 mile walk from the lodge down very quiet country roads, also, walk back along ''The Ridge' for excellent views), The Kings Arms, Newent, and if you fancy excellent Nepalese food, 'The Roadhouse', Gorsley (a 1 1/2 mile walk from the lodge) We shall certainly be returning to this lodge site! Highly recommend :)
Katy
I have stayed in a lot of lodges and this one was by far the best. Immaculate inside and spacious and clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful went the Extra mile to help us settle in
Linda
