Brilliant relaxing lodge, very clean, spacious and quiet. Very friendly staff.

The lodge and area was wonderful, better than expected. We loved it so much that we booked for next year whilst still there. The only downside is the mattress in master bedroom, I thought I was gunna be flung out of it every time my partner moved due to the bounce and springs in mattress however that was clearly not enough to put me off, for a week I can easily deal with that. Most places we visited, it was about an hours drive so definitely wouldnt recommend if you dont have access to a car. It was so lovely and quiet. Hot tub was an added bonus.Lodge had a bath which was perfect for my children who dont like showers. Excited to come back again

Very nice place to relax.

We had problems with the water heater boiler that we had to reset numerous times. One morning we couldn't reset it and had no hot water. We reported this to the site manager who had a look at it and wondered if it was the gas bottle not automatically switching over, but the problem still persisted. The boiler's next gas safety check was due before 6th March 2022 - so well overdue. I have photos of this and the boiler reset button active.There were no suitable containers for use in the microwave, nor oven dishes suitable for a casserole for example. There was no washing up cloth/brush/tea towel, nor enough bin liners - luckily we took our own.There was no hairdryer, no slip mat for the bath and no bath mats.The main bedroom door catch was making it really hard to open the door and the bathroom (not ensuite) door was similar.The hot tub cover was in desperate need or renewing/replacing.On the plus side - the accommodation was spacious and in a quiet location, with plenty of DVD's.

Our lodge was very comfortable. A large living/dining room, plenty of storage a modern kitchen and 2 good size bedrooms, each with it's own shower and bathroom.We also had our own private hot tub.
The few minor issues were sorted out very quickly by the efficient maintenance staff. If you are looking for peace and quiet this is the right site for you. There is no shop or bar but it is near enough to the local village of Halwill where there is a lovely pub "The Junction Inn" and also a small convenience store.
There are plenty of lovely places to visit within an hour of the site, including Bude, Rosemoor Gardens and Dartmoor.

Beautiful luxurious lodge, although quite a few damp patches, lovely quiet site, just needed a shop as the nearest was miles away along a pothole ridden road!!

Absolutely loved this lodge. The only reason for marking a 9 is because we were disappointed that the jets in the lovely spa shower in the ensuite had been turned off due to mis-use from previous customers.

Lovely lodge well equipped with high end white goods which made cooking a pleasure very clean too.
Paths could maybe have been tarmac as it was hard not to get mud everywhere

Great place to stay. Lodge has all you need for a great relaxing holiday. Hot tub was great what ever the weather.

We had requested number 28 holiday lodge because this was the one that we had been in during a previous stay, we were delighted that again this year we had the same lodge.

The lodge we stayed at was spotless and beautiful. We felt extremely comfortable staying here for three nights, and I plan on visiting again.

We had a lovely relaxing week staying in the Tamar lodge and made good use of the hot tub whilst we were there!
It was a quiet getaway location, but perfectly placed to commute and explore both North Devon and Cornwall attractions and places of interest.

Family had very good times

I loved it and will be going back again i took my 2, 5 year old grandchildren and they loved the space they had to play in and the hot tub

Very peaceful relaxing place. Definitely need a car to get about due to the location of the site. But thats what you get in Devon.

Perfect holiday. Definitely booking to go again.
