Great lodge, and would definitely stay in this one again. Loved the privacy this site affords you and the views were wonderful.Beds were very comfortable and hot tub was great.Couple of very small cleaning issues which was reason for 4 instead if 5 stars along with the furnishings.Could do with spotlight over the cooking area and maybe an extra lamp as we like ambient lighting in the evening rather than the main bright, overhead lights.

Fabulous quality and cleanliness. A sliding door and a covering to the bathroom would have made.it perfect

Beautiful rustic log cabin (Pivotal) in a picturesque rural setting. A welcome basket was much appreciated after our drive. Very cosy with heating and log burner. Hot tub was well sited - under cover and with those amazing views! There were neighbouring cabins but it was very private space. The furnishings were lovely and the beds were huge and super comfy. En-suite wc/showers, complimentary toiletries- a great touch. Kitchen had most items needed for self catering but needs more lighting if cooking in the darker evenings - we improvised with a bedside lamp. We didnt need much contact with staff but they were very helpful delivering a hoover/mop when i asked for this to keep the dogs paw prints at bay. Would definitely recommend for a chilled base to explore this beautiful part of Yorkshire.

Absolutely loved Lillie Lodge, we were there to celebrate New Year. On entertaining the lodge it was warm and cosy with the added bonus of a welcome basket filled with some lovely things and a pint of milk waiting in the fridge. Done to a very high spec, spotlessly clean, huge en suite with massive walk in shower, separate WC and sauna. Bed was amazingly comfortable and massive! Doors leading out to a very private hot tub which is undercover so can be used in all weathers which we did. Very warm in the lodge but for extra heat and coziness you have a log burner with ample logs. The view is fantastic very far reaching and of course you have the view of your very own duck pond with the resident ducks! These little guys made it for me, so entertaining and there to great you every time you return. Will quite happily eat out your hand and were well fed for the week!! Saw race horses most days which was a lovely treat and all the staff you bump into are very friendly. Plenty towels, bathrobes and slippers, tea, coffee and sugar and some salt and pepper. Kitchen well stocked with everything you need. Yes the fridge is small but wasn't a problem, still plenty room to fit everything in. Would recommend to anyone and we booked our return visit for next New Year before we left ??

We had a lovely stay in Lillie Lodge for 4 nights. Lodge is lovely and has everything you could need, shame it was too warm to light the log fire even though it was the end of October...Jets in the hot tub could have been more powerful but we used it many times everyday View from the lodge is great, lots of ducks from the pond and even the Black Swan came to see us.Thank you.

Beautiful lodge, with great space and very comfortable beds in all bedrooms. Hot tub was a nice treat, and the robes and slippers were very much appreciated. Isolated location, car needed to get to various nearby villages, etc however would highly recommend.

7th visit to sun hill lodges, first time in the Lillie lodge, the pond is what makes this lodge tranquil. Watching the black swans, ducks and ducklings along with the rabbits in a morning whilst having a brew is heaven. I used the sauna once and thought it was very small even for just one person, not comfortable to use and to me is a waste of space in the bathroom. Overall a lovely lodge.

Beautiful lodges in a beautiful location. Have stayed here a few times now we wouldnt go anywhere else. The William lodge was looking a little tired in places cooker knob was burnt and bathroom bin was dented and underneath the bedroom furniture was a bit dusty but these things were superficial really and didnt spoil our stay at all Just things that can be improved to ensure it maintain its luxury rating. We had another lovely holiday and cant wait to return

We have stayed in this particular lodge twice sauna hot tub are great as older people we find a high backed chair more comfortable than sofas seems the modern trend now is low backed sofas and bucket chairs which are no good for us but this is just our personal view most of the lodges have a large smeg fridge freezer unfortunately the Lillie only has a small fridge with ice box which isnt much good if you like to stock up. The Lillie is only for two people so maybe when they update the seating it would be nice to see two high backed leather chairs in situ overall sun hill lodges is a fantastic place to stay wether for a short break or a longer one which we like a week or a fortnight

I dont really want to leave a good review, as other people will find out about this amazing accommodation. The log cabins were very well equipped, decorated to an high standard and included everything you could need. Were used to larger accommodation, but the tranquility and amazing views whilst sat on the very large veranda, meant this was never an issue (we knew the size when booking, so this is not a criticism.) We were blessed were lovely weather during our stay, so this added to the pleasure. It was a lovely treat seeing the race horses galloping every now and then up the track on a morning. The only thing which could be improved, is chicken wire round the fences to make it dog friendly. We were worried our dog would upset the horses in the next paddock and as a result had to keep her on the lead the whole time we stayed. We loved this accommodation and will definitely be back ????

Highly Recommend Anyone to stay at Sunhill Lodges. A Totally Relaxing, Peaceful stay away from it All Place. Second time staying here, this time in a different Lodge; various ones to choose from. Will be booking again, maybe later in the year, IF available, as they are soon booked up. If you like walking; recommend a walk up Leyburn Shawl; Views are Stunning. (Map on wall, in Leyburn Market place) Thorp Perrow, also excellent place to visit; Beautiful Arboretum.
