The accommodation was spotless and to a very high standard. The location was ideal for our base going in to York. Local bus stop 5 minutes walk and regular buses running. The village itself has amenities and a good eating pub. We would highly recommend if you want a quiet place to stay with York easy to get to.

Excellent experience from start to finish. Caravan was very clean and well equipped. Lovely clean, well maintained park just a 5 minute walk from Stamford Bridge where you will find a good selection of take aways a small supermarket, bakers and an excellent pub. Good bus service into York takes about 35 minutes, (Park and ride also available about 5 mins drive) ideal if you want access to York but need a break from the husstle and bussle .Staff and locals were very friendly. Excellent location with some lovely walks close by. Highly recommended!

The apartment was spotless and it has a handy lift to take you to the apartment above. It also benefits from the laundry room underneath.

We have just come back from a week at Weir Park staying in an accessible caravan as our eldest son is disabled. We chose this place because it was one of the more budget friendly options for a week away this year. The caravan was beautifully clean, the staff were friendly, and the caravan park overall was tidy. A couple of small gripes - whilst almost everything you need for your stay is provided there were a couple of items that would have been helpful such as a tea towel or two and an oven glove. We were also only left one dishwashing cloth but no cleaning products, no washing up liquid, cleaning spray or even toilet roll. Weve been on a few caravan holidays and I think this is the first time nothing like that has been provided. Not a huge problem but Id definitely recommend taking these items yourself from home to save having to go and buy whilst youre there. The beds were also quite uncomfortable which had been mentioned in another review I saw, you could feel all the springs and our disabled son struggled with this quite a bit. Most mornings we were also woken up to the sounds of trees being chopped down around the site, but this was obviously just bad luck as they wouldnt be doing that all the time! On the whole it was a nice stay, I dont think we would return mostly for the fact that there just isnt much to do in the area for children. We chose this caravan based on price as everything closer to the coast was almost double the cost but looking back now we probably would have been better somewhere where there was more going on for the children as we spent a lot of time in the car driving to different places that all seemed at least 40 mins to an hour away. I highly recommend a visit to Eden Camp - this was probably the best day out we had and suited all ages of our family (6, 8, 13, 34 and 40!) I imagine this a perfect place to come for couples who want to relax and have a quiet week away somewhere watching the river go by though!

Lovely week spent here. Nice quiet site with local shops and amenities not far away. Park and ride for York just ten minute drive away or a bus from the village to York readily available. Particularly enjoyed the luxury of a dishwasher. Super clean and lots of local information readily available. Would stay again.

The wheelchair friendly unit is well equipped with a wet room shower facility. It is spacious, with easy access for wheelchair use including a lowered kitchen sink and cooker hob. The veranda overlooks the River Derwent and is in the shade of riverside trees. Not so good if you are a sun worshiper. The only slight downsides were that you could feel the springs in the mattresses and a light on/near the dressing table would have been useful.Overall the site and the staff were excellent, and we would happily return.

Great location for getting to York and the East coast. Apartment was very spacious with plenty of bedding and towels. For the price would have been nice to have some complementary tea/coffee/soap as you have to buy all the essentials even just for a few nights stay. On the whole a great place to stay, nice and quiet.
