Not worth the bother at all

A lovely, relaxing break! Perfect for a peaceful getaway, exactly what we were after. Highly recommend!

We stayed in a three-bedroom caravan in Telford booked through Hoseasons and it was pretty good overall. The place was clean, modern and had comfy bedding. We appreciated the well-equipped kitchen, which made preparing meals for five a breeze. The wrap-around decking with outdoor furniture was a nice touch too. Only downside was no sea view since its tucked away at the back and you can see into other caravans. Also, no bath mat was provided, which we think should be standard. Still, a decent stay!

We stayed in this simple but functional caravan. It has all the essentials, though a couple of cupboard doors were missing, which didnt really bother us. The laminated floors make it pet-friendly, so slippers are a must. The bed was super comfy and the views from the hilltop location overlooking the sea were stunning. Parking right outside and good heating too!

Really enjoyed our stay! Staff were so friendly and helpful, especially the pool team, who sorted out walk-ins effortlessly. Well be back!

We stayed in this caravan recently and honestly, it had quite a few plus points. The place was surprisingly roomy and tidy, even if it felt a bit dated in places. The big cupboards were a real bonus, perfect for storage. The layout was smart, with bedrooms at each end which really helped with noise. And how often do you find one with a washing machine? That was definitely a highlight for us. Not perfect, but definitely worth it!

Clean and tidy place, which was great. We ended up staying mostly inside because the food and drinks were quite pricey. The sofa wasnt the most comfy, but we made do. Bed was really cosy though!

The toaster was faulty, but luckily the gas cooler's grill worked fine, so no real hassle. Lovely scenery nearby and super close to trains and ferries.

Honestly, we found the prices a bit steep for what you get. The burgers were tasty, but the curly fries were way too hard to enjoy. Portion sizes felt quite small when youre shelling out £80 for five burgers and a coke. The caravan was comfy enough, but no bedding for the fifth guest, which was a pain. Water ball thing was a bit overpriced for just five minutes, too. Still, we had a decent time overall.

Great overall experience

Honestly, we expected a basic place for a quick end-of-season break, but it was quite disappointing. The soft furnishings were stained and we even found rubbish under the bed. The bathroom door lock was faulty too, which was a bit frustrating. Not what we hoped for.

Honestly, if you dont have a car, steer clear. No shuttle or transport to get up that really steep hill to the caravan site, which is a pain. The caravan itself was okay, but the restaurants food was pretty rubbish and way overpriced. We definitely wont be coming back to Wemyss Bay.

Staff were really unhelpful and quite aggressive, made the whole experience horrible.

The shower drain was broken and there was no toilet brush to clean the toilets. Honestly, not worth the money, we wont be returning. Disappointing!

The location was perfect and our granddaughter loved all the activities nearby. Great stay!

Weve been here four times now and honestly, the views are breathtaking and theres always something fun to do. That said, the caravans cleanliness wasnt great and we found it lacking in basic cooking utensils. Still, well probably come back for the scenery!

We stayed at Connery Caravan recently and honestly, it was a bit of a mixed bag. The place looked quite nice from the outside, but the smell inside was pretty off - it reeked of urine, which was a real letdown. The sofa was covered in stains and marks, so we couldn't even sit on it without putting a quilt over the top just to make it somewhat comfortable. We did mention this to the staff and they said they'd get it cleaned, but sadly, nothing was done - it stayed like that for the entire break, which was disappointing. On the bright side, the beds and bedding were spotless and the kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed, so they did get some things right.Now, about the food service. Day one was a bit of a shambles. We ordered coffee, a soft drink and food for two. Drinks arrived quickly, but the food took ages. After 25 minutes, I was losing patience when the waitress asked if wed ordered drinks and food - turns out, the food hadnt even been ordered because of a printer error! That was frustrating, especially with a family around us, all waiting. On day two, we decided to try again since it wasnt busy and we needed to eat quick. I ordered two sandwiches - a BLT and a ploughmans - plus drinks. They took about 20 minutes to arrive and when they did, the bread on the ploughmans was dry and hard on one side and the BLT only had lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise - no bacon at all. We sent them back and they brought fresh ones, but it still took another 15 minutes. We had to leave early because of plans, so we just got some of the food in a takeaway box. They said theyd been busy, but honestly, the service was pretty poor overall. Wouldnt recommend this place based on our experience!

We recently stayed at the holiday park and while the scenery was quite pretty, it wasnt quite what we expected. The caravan location was a bit of a let-down - ours faced a patch of weeds, so the view out the window was pretty disappointing. The swimming pool was another issue; we were told we needed to book longer sessions, but since we booked through Hoseasons, that wasnt really an option. We only got about 30 minutes in the pool after all the faffing with kids. The real let-down was the restaurant. I ordered a steak and ale pie and honestly, it was terrible - nowhere near homemade, more like a frozen meal. We left most of it and went to Largs for something better. Overall, it was a bit of a waste of £75, honestly. Wouldnt rush back, unfortunately.

Overall, the caravan was quite nice, but we did have a couple of nights spoiled by some noisy guests fighting and having loud parties nearby. Not ideal.

We had a lovely stay at Wemyss Bay recently. The location of the caravan was perfect and it was spotless when we arrived. The sofa, however, was a bit saggy and not super comfy for sitting long periods. The staff there were really friendly and always willing to help, which made things easier. The pool was a hit with the kids and we enjoyed a meal at the on-site restaurant - food was delicious, though a tad on the pricey side. The entertainment area could do with some sprucing up; it looked a little tired and could use some repairs. The site's in a prime spot for exploring - we took the ferry and train to visit places like Rothesay, Gourock and Seamill. Overall, a fantastic family holiday with our two kids aged 8 and 9. Wed definitely come back!

Had a lovely day exploring Largs and Rosyth, the caravan park was pretty nice too!

The bed was so cramped, we barely had space to stretch and the wardrobe at the bottom was noisy every time we shifted. Not great!

Honestly, our holiday was a bit of a letdown thanks to that burst water main. Being without a toilet for two days was tough and all we got from staff was a single 2-litre bottle of water daily. The site didnt really communicate any plans to help or entertain the kids while the hub was shut. Not what we expected at all!

Honestly, we wont be returning here. The caravan was somewhat clean when we arrived, but the toilets were shocking - both in the main facilities and at the entertainment venue. We even sent the cleaner back, but nothing changed. Not a place Id recommend, unfortunately. Such a shame really.
