Utter luxury in the heart of the unspoilt Derbyshire countryside, these lodges boast outdoor hot tubs, full Sky TV and super stylish décor. You can book a therapy in the comfort of your own lodge or head to the beauty salon and spa less than a mile away. The small market town of Ashby-de-la-Zouch and the National Forest are within easy reach.

Derbyshire has lots to offer in the way of activities - from karting at Nuneaton to paintballing and quad biking  at Wild Park Leisure in Derby. The award winning Burnt Gate pub in Anslow is a good place to enjoy an evening meal or for dinner on a fabulous decked terrace, Darley Mill has superb seasonal menus.

We can't speak highly enough of the accommodation here - each lodge has been beautifully designed and all have countryside and canal views. Ashby Woulds Luxury Lodge 6 VIP is an outstanding boutique lodge for six people. It has an in-lodge sound system, an outdoor hot tub with sound system and a 40" flat screen TV.

Nearby Burton-on-Trent has some great shopping with a good choice of high street stores. The Cinebowl at Uttoxeter incorporates a cinema and eight lanes of bowling, good indoor entertainment for a rainy afternoon.

Our Top Tip
"At Tamworth, you can see a traditional motte and bailey designed castle; it's steeped in history and well worth a visit."

Fun Days Out in Derbyshire

The Peak District National Park is the ideal place to relax and explore.  The stunning scenery will take your breath away and there is the opportunity to take part in ranger led guides and events.  These are ideal if you are new to the area or only staying a short time and want to see the best sights and walks.

This is a top class theme park with plenty to do for the whole family.  From thrilling rides to more gentle activities for the little ones this place is ideal.  The best thing is that 50% of their attractions are under cover so the British weather needn't spoil the fun.

We had a lovely stay. The lodge itself surpassed our expectations, particularly the facilities in the kitchen that you take for granted. Pleasantly Overwhelmed at the wine and chocolates left out for us and the bathroom toiletries. The jets in the hot tub were weak which was disappointing however. Overall great value for money.

The lodge was lovely, spacious and very clean.
Bedrooms good size and very accomodating for clothes and accessories (makeup etc...)
Only issue we had were small ware and tare problems.
Hand towel rail in the bathroom could not support a towel and the odd appliance did not work or needed replacing.

The lodge was lovely with everything you need inside and staff were very friendly asking if all was well in the lodge and if we were enjoying ourselfs when they were passing and we were out on the decking. The hot tub was lovely and checked and cleaned every day.

nice lodge and friendly staff

My stay at ashby woulds was very pleasant and relaxing. The staff at the desk were nice and accomodating and on top of this, ashby woulds have a local bbq and lovely hammick and tables for the public to sit and commune. Also the spa is something my girlfriend considered and is a nice touch for visitors. My only recommendation would be the inclusion of an on-site bar but within the welcome pack, there is plenty of places near by to accomodate for this.
Deborah
Second visit- totally relaxing break - hot tub, prosecco and music- perfect weekend. Lodge was immaculate. The fridge door didn't close properly in lodge 5 so it needs fixing.
Pat

Jeff
We all absolutely loved our 3 night break at the lodge. Very spacious and immaculately clean with everything you need already there. The beds were so comfy I haven't slept so good in years. Perfect peacefull surroundings making the hot tub even better than it was. Only negative was the iPod dock couldn't be used as it had the old connector a little adapter would solve this though. We are definitely booking again next year to take in more sights.
