Laugharne Park has an indoor pool, sauna and gym. There's also a bar with live entertainment, a restaurant and launderette. The kids will love the adventure playground, games room and crazy golf - and you can even enjoy a game or two of tennis.

There's a choice of one and two bedroomed lodges, all with stunning views of Laugharne. Thomas Lodge sleeps up to four people with a double and a twin bedroom. It also has a well equipped kitchen with dishwasher and a TV and DVD player.

The pretty seaside resort of Tenby is just eight miles away and you could take a boat trip to Caldey Island or just have a browse and enjoy the shops, pubs and restaurants.

Fun Days Out in Carmarthenshire

Treasure Island Fun Centre is situated in the Anglesey area of North of Wales and there is really no better place to take children on a rainy day. The fantastic all weather attraction features a huge array of slides, chutes, climbing frames, ball pools and mazes. Energetic kids can really let of steam while the grown ups can relax in the cafe with a drink and a snack. There are separate areas four younger children to play safely, so no one is left out of the fun.

Penrhyn Castle is a neo-Norman castle is located in the stunning Gwynedd region of Wales. The castle will appeal to those who enjoy sites of historical interest as well as to families looking to enjoy a fun day out. The Castle is in very good condition and guided tours are on offer. Don't miss a look at the grand hall with its exquisite collection of paintings or the Victorian Kitchen which gives amazing insight into the running of the Castle. Other highlights include the Servants Rooms and the one ton slate bed which was originally made for Queen Victoria.

This attraction is really something special and has reached the finals of the "Best Family Day Out" category in the National Tourism Awards for Wales.  It's actually the only attraction in North Wales to be shortlisted for this prestigious award. Located in the Snowdonia region there are many rides and activities including Jungle Boat Adventure, Den Building, Green Dragon Roller Caoster, Treetop Towers and the BareFoot Trail.  Kids of all ages will love it here and we think it's excellent value as well.

Located in the North of Wales with a spectacular setting high above Colwyn Bay this is a lovely zoo which makes an excellent family day out.  Highlights include the Chimp Encounter, Penguin Parades, Bear Falls and the Children's Farm.  The setting is perfect for walking around and you can take in the superb scenery, roam the wooded pathways and relax on the grassy slopes.  There are many rare and endangered species to see and learn about including the Snow Leopards and the Red Pandas not to mention the Sumatran Tigers. You can also buy the experience of being a zoo keeper for a day, either for yourself or as a gift.

The windows were a bit the worse for wear, some it was difficult to see out of as the double glazing had failed and the glass was cloudy. The blinds in bathroom and toilet did not work. We found the kitchen area very badly lit, but overall things were fine.

We chose a gold lodge which was well equipped and had been freshly paintec. It was large, bright and airy. We made use of the games room and the crazy golf. Shame the clubhouse was not open but its only a short walk into Laugharne for shops, pubs and restaurants.
The park itself is very hilly but not a problem for us, its well cared and tended for and the views are stunning.

Great acomadation especially for the price
Fantastic location, small but friendly park. Lodges immaculate & staff extremely helpful. Great base to explore the local area. A beautiful part of the world.
Spent a great week at Laugharne Estate over Christmas, lodge was clean and fresh, good beds, all made ready, towels smart and clean and the staff were great.
Had a great stay. Accommodation I could not fault. The games room and laundry need to be updated. would have no problem recommending
Had a lovely 30th wedding anniversary at Laugharne Estate. The lodge was clean, spacious and with a stunning view of the Taf Estuary. The Estate was so peaceful . We enjoyed an anniversary meal in The Owl and The Pussycat. It was lovely to walk and see Dylan Thomas's boathouse, shed and his grave. The weather was reasonably good for november so we were able to visit several places nearby, including New Quay.
A really relaxing holiday , great location and touring base. Stunning views from the Windows.
Fantastic holiday in a lovely quiet lodge.
Absolutely lovely area, wonderful views over the estuary, so many birds, bats and wildlife to see. Staff were really friendly, welcoming and helpful. The facilities were simple, needing some updating and TLC, but the lodges were fully equipped and clean. Couldn't really ask for a nicer place, so peaceful and relaxing.
