Border Forest Lodges
If you are looking to escape the hustle and bustle of modern day living - if only for a short while - then look no further than Border Forest Lodges which provide a real rural retreat. Located next to Kielder Forest you have stunning forest walks and an array of wildlife right on the doorstep.
There is a choice of two types of lodge, the Heron Lodge which sleeps 6 and the Goshawk Lodge which sleeps 4. The Heron Lodge provides spacious accommodation with a modern feel. With two doubles and one twin bedroom the lodge comfortably sleeps up to 6 adults. The real highlight of the Heron Lodge is the decking area leading out from the lodge where you will find a private outdoor hot tub with amazing views over the brook.
The Goshawk Lodge is just as spectacular and more suited to couples and smaller families with two bedrooms sleeping 4. This is brand new for 2011 and is a timber clad luxury accommodation with a stylish and spacious interior. The open plan living is perfect for families and there are doors leading out to the decking area with magnificent views over the brook. Again you have the added bonus of an outdoor hot tub.
If you love outdoor activities like walking, cycling, mountain biking and pony trekking then this area is ideal. We think both families and couples would enjoy holidays at Border Forest Lodges and there are some fun days out in the region when you want to get out and about. Of course Kielder Water and Forest Park, 10 miles from the lodges, is a must see. With a really tranquil feel this is the perfect spot to relax of take part in some activities such as cycling and horse riding.
