Garnffrwd Park Lodges are recommended for peaceful holidays in the south Wales area and will appeal to couples looking to get away from it all for a few days.  The lodges have been rated 3-4 star by Visit Wales and offer a fantastic standard of lodge accommodation.

The grounds are full of wildlife which will appeal to nature lovers. The centre piece of the site is a 5 acre spring fed lake perfect for fly fishing.  Within 2 miles of Garnffrwd Park you will find some lovely Botanical Gardens as well as shops and restaurants.

The lodge accommodation consists of high qiality Canadian Pine lodges. The Ash and the Oak lodge both have 2 bedrooms with pretty views over the lake and woods. The Ash Lodge sleeps 4 whereas the Oak lodge can sleep 5.  Alternatively you could stay at Cerrig Cottage which is an outstanding converted 18th century stone barn cottage sleeping 4 with 2 floors and a log fire.  It's also positioned next to the lake.  We think you will find Garnffrwd Park to be a charming place to visit with first class accommodation and scenery.

Fun Days Out in Carmarthenshire

Treasure Island Fun Centre is situated in the Anglesey area of North of Wales and there is really no better place to take children on a rainy day. The fantastic all weather attraction features a huge array of slides, chutes, climbing frames, ball pools and mazes. Energetic kids can really let of steam while the grown ups can relax in the cafe with a drink and a snack. There are separate areas four younger children to play safely, so no one is left out of the fun.

Penrhyn Castle is a neo-Norman castle is located in the stunning Gwynedd region of Wales. The castle will appeal to those who enjoy sites of historical interest as well as to families looking to enjoy a fun day out. The Castle is in very good condition and guided tours are on offer. Don't miss a look at the grand hall with its exquisite collection of paintings or the Victorian Kitchen which gives amazing insight into the running of the Castle. Other highlights include the Servants Rooms and the one ton slate bed which was originally made for Queen Victoria.

This attraction is really something special and has reached the finals of the "Best Family Day Out" category in the National Tourism Awards for Wales.  It's actually the only attraction in North Wales to be shortlisted for this prestigious award. Located in the Snowdonia region there are many rides and activities including Jungle Boat Adventure, Den Building, Green Dragon Roller Caoster, Treetop Towers and the BareFoot Trail.  Kids of all ages will love it here and we think it's excellent value as well.

Located in the North of Wales with a spectacular setting high above Colwyn Bay this is a lovely zoo which makes an excellent family day out.  Highlights include the Chimp Encounter, Penguin Parades, Bear Falls and the Children's Farm.  The setting is perfect for walking around and you can take in the superb scenery, roam the wooded pathways and relax on the grassy slopes.  There are many rare and endangered species to see and learn about including the Snow Leopards and the Red Pandas not to mention the Sumatran Tigers. You can also buy the experience of being a zoo keeper for a day, either for yourself or as a gift.

The cottage is in a beautiful peaceful area just a few minutes walk to the lake. The cottage is very well equipped with everything you need for a wonderful stay. There was just a couple of things that could be improved and that is there is no clothes storage in the twin room so my kids had to leave everything in the suitcase at the foot of bed where in my view a wardrobe could be with a sliding door for access. Also the mattress on the main bed wasn't the best as it folded up around you whilst sleeping, but that could just be me as I am very particular about mattresses. I must make sure people know that even with the two things that could be improved the holiday was excellent it was just what we as a family needed. Definitely recommend to anyone you can drive to pembry country park, tenby beach, heatherton world of adventure and botanic gardens and as well as all this go on local walks and enjoy the beautiful nature of south wales.

This little quaint cottage is absolutely beautiful. Location was quiet and peaceful, but not too far away for days out. Myself and my children didn't want our holiday to end. We will be booking again.

Lovely time away. Cottage had everything we needed and more. On arrival we found that there was no cot bed as requested yet as soon as we mentioned it to the owner he brought a cot bed, high chair and stair gate and installed them all in no time. Very friendly and helpful.

This has been a lovely relaxing holiday. The log cabin was clean and the owners and other guest were very friendly and helpful with everything you need set in beautiful surroundings with a well run lake stocked with first class fish-right on your doorstep-what more could anyone ask for.
Julie
We loved the location, it was so quiet and pretty.

Lovely setting in an C18 cottage. Would have liked a tad more storage but that's a little pedantic. Jamie is really friendly and helpful and I'd definitely go back again. The trout lake is beautiful even if the fish didn't bite :-)
