Fun Days Out in Inverness-Shire

Landmark Theme Park is a popular family attraction in Scotland and is a great choice for those with children of varied ages. The site is packed with attractions to keep the whole family amused. Landmark is rather unique as a theme park as it is based around nature. Activities include Tree Topping and Rock climbing although there are also some more traditional theme park rides such as a log flume. The park is abundant with nature including Red Squirrels and Clydesdale Horses and there is also a new Pinewood Grill for tasty snacks and a Gift Shop.

The amazing Loudoun Castle Theme Park is the largest in Scotland taking up a staggering 500 acres of glorious countryside. The park is suitable for visitors of all ages and has an excellent choice of rides including thrilling Rollercoasters. The site also hosts some fantastic family shows including the popular 'Walk the Plank' High Dive Show.  This place is much more than a theme park though, and younger children in particular will love the Dougal McDougal's farm area where the inhabitants include friendly goats, pigs and llamas as well as rabbits and other small pets.

Only slight improvement would be for the second single bed to not be a trundle but really good apart from that.

We spent Christmas 2016 at this resort and we could not have asked for more. The staff were amazing and layed on a visit from Father Christmas & Mrs Christmas who gave out gifts for all the kids on the resort. The cabins were really clean and cosy. Heated amazingly in winter. We kept heating off when out and the cabin was warmed within 10 mins of getting back. As you have to pay for heating, there's no need to keep it on when out. The mattresses really do need upgrading, but I have got a bad back so this could just be me. Aviemore was just a 10 min drive away and great to be away from the hussle and bussle of the town. We also had snow, which was the icing on the cake! Jakes restaurant was fabulous and great service & value for money. The clubhouse was snug & comfy with great wifi! Also great to be able to use the pools & soft play for our daughter for free at the other Macdonald resorts. Just great and only had to present cabin key. This is a little gem of a place. Made extra special by great staff & service.

This was a little piece of heaven hidden away in the highlands. Its absolutely stunning, we were genuinely saddened to leave. The staff were lovely, the cabins cosy & quaint- loved the little details like the tartan throws/curtains! Jake's restaurant is stunning & the staff there are really friendly too! We cant wait to come back!
Lucy
We had a superb week. Perfect family holiday in the perfect location, can't wait to go back!
