Fun Days Out in Lancashire

Head for the Bowland Wild Boar park and we don't think you will be disappointed.  A popular attraction in Preston there is so much to do for the whole family.  From picnics, walks and wildlife to experiencing feeding the animals you are sure to have a memorable day out.  Also popular is the kids tractor play area.  For rest and relaxation the cafe is ideal serving hot drinks and snacks with a lovely view over the pond and wildlife feeding station.  The Forest of Bowland has been declared an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Ribby Hall Village Reviews

We have just spent Saturday evening and night at Ribby Hall and attended the Christmas Party / meal. The food and service were excellent as was the live band. Our party of 8 traveled from Bolton in the poor weather and we are all glad we did as we had a great time. We will certainly be back next year and hopefully will stay in the hotel although our lodges this time we very good. Well done to all who made it such a great weekend.

Cottage was fantastic my only complaint is our cottage was on the corner of the street and I felt we had no privacy in the garden. Always felt everyone driving up and down was looking at us having dinner outside etc. Would gave liked a hedge or fence just to feel a little more private.

Cottage fine but perhaps a little tired. No real grumbles only making the comment as asked. Very clean and beds very comfortable.

We did not actually eat in any of the restaurants on site so cannot comment.

A lovely cottage but slightly wasted by the trees/bushes up too close to the patio doors.

Brilliant place for families with young children. Could do with updating cottages & some of the facilities - bar & function room area. Loved the updated swimming pool & tapas bar. Spa hotel good. Overall a great holiday facility.

Lovely holiday village, very well maintained with beautiful grounds. The lodge we had was a three bedroom one with large bedrooms and everything you needed provided. There was plenty of things on the park and the grandkids loved the pool and soft play. Only 15 minutes from Blackpool as well. There are a number of eating places on the park but these were overpriced for what you get.I would recommend this park to anyone as it's the nicest one we've ever stayed in.
Amanda
Perfect family holiday. We had so much fun together.
Jill

We arrived and were warmly welcomed by staff who gave us our key and some information on park activities/facilities. On approach to our cottage we were a little apprehensive as it was an almost corner plot and entry wasn't breathtaking. On parking and entering the property we were more than pleasantly surprised. It's was immaculate and very well kept. The kids quickly claimed beds. The wildlife was great and kids woke up to ducks, squirrels and birds in the back garden every day which they loved. The wildlife walk around the park was great for the kids and had information posts for kids to find and read all the way around, great idea. The pool facilities were good and we didn't have to fast track visits though when lessons were on it was very limited for smaller kids or my 7 year old non swimmer so maybe best advising people when these lesson will be on as I did call every day before arriving at the pool in case I had to book a swim session and was never told about pool areas being shut off. Booked kids in to art attack, jewellery making and wake up shake up...all the staff who taught or supervised these classes were very good and children always had fun. Very close to pleasure beach and attractions, and easy to find. Parks were great for all ages. Nightly entertainment was fab for the kids and always something different. They surprisingly also looked forward to the nightly bingo...though we never ever won haha. We went to the wildlife park inside the complex and were surprised when we received a free ticket for us all to come back the next day, great touch and the kids enjoyed the animals, with the exceptional of the 'scary' bat house. We had an amazing experience at ribby hall from start to finish and even if you have a day of rain there, there is always an activity the kids can be involved in or somewhere to go. Highly recommend
Fiona
Fantastic holiday with our little ones!
Gary
Great for the family and our 3yo had a blast. Only downside was having to pay £5.50 every time I wanted to use the gym, seems excessive for a paying guest
Louise
Great holiday.
Michelle
