Newperran Holiday Resort

There were a couple of dead bugs underneath the the sheets which were only visible because i pulled the quilts of all 4 beds and there were bugs there i didnt sleep on the Beds at all

The lodge we booked was amazing, spotlessly clean and comfortable, we had two bedrooms both with en-suites and dressing rooms

We paid for the star gazer which as per the website looked like a dream. We are always booking different areas in Cornwall in luxury caravans and therefore have other sites and caravans to compare to. On arrival we were searching for our caravan for a while and in all honesty based on the outside/how dirty it looked completely missed it multiple times. Once found got in side number 46 and although yes looked like photos was absolutely filthy! We spent the first hour cleaning the whole thing and yes dogs are allowed but the amount of hair and objects such as sofas that are not moved when hoovering. Cupboards were filled with other peoples food as of no one had even gone in to clean and there was no milk on arrival as discussed. The fridge was broken and therefore food was hardly kept cold, we found we had to flick this plastic but round everytime we shut the door just to ensure the cold air stayed in. The power kept tripping and turning the electric off and where no one was at services had to find someone at the bar to help us who to be fair was super nice. When complaining she agreed it was bad and we shouldnt be going through what we have for paying just over £2k for a week! When the guy came to fixed the electrics he said it was because they was moving from one electric point to another and therefore the old points couldnt handle the amount of power that was needed and showed us what to do if it happened again. Which to be honest if thats the case Im unsure why they even had this caravan as an option as it was a continuous thing whereby when it happened at night food would go warm which was then thrown!BE WARNED wifi is not a basic, youd think In 2024 and every other caravan park we have stayed in this would be a basic but no. The worst part is we have enough data for this to not bother us but the signal there is non existence and therefore no internet at all so to try and get simple things like google maps or plan your day or even watch Netflix etc was hell, no smart tv in caravan either so literally basic tv and with 2 kids this was absolute hell and a game changer as if I knew there was so signal Id have never booked.We like booking these type of sites just as they are more quote but found facilities on site old and run down, e.g swimming pool wasnt the greatest and arcade part some games just broke and would steal money, we lost £4 and basically wasnt believed so lost that also, but again couldnt be bothered to argue and waste my energy over £4. All in all it was not worth what we paid and we have paid a lot less for a lot more which all include a jacuzzi and in school holidays. Feel absolutely ripped off of anything and will be writing a formal complaint as soon as possible. This is my first ever complaint as Im normally accepting of stuff not being perfect but my god this place was terrible to say the least!

Great holiday, despite a few flaws. As mentioned no wi-if not good enough.Pool closing at 4pm? No evening entertainment. We know we are dealing with the fall out from Covid, but the prices for the holiday needs to reflect the services and entertainment offered. Stop putting prices up for holidays if you cant offer the service and standards around it.Also please mark bin clearly for recycling. We were unsure so bins were mixed up. Come on guys its 2024! We need to reduce our carbon footprint. Thank you

Lovely lodge

Excellent lodge, warm and cosy with everything you could need. Very spacious feel to it. Outside space great for the dog with secure decking and seats. Highly recommend.

A lovely lodge with beautiful views. Perfect for a long weekend away, and to chill in the evenings after a busy day. Can't comment on the site facilities as we never used them. We enjoyed exploring in the day and chilling in the evening. The only down side, was our lodge had no gate for our dog to be out on the Balcony.

Great location to stay and venture out, Newquay 10 mins drive away and Perran beach a little closer. Not a location to stay if you're looking at walking everywhere though.

Excellent brand new lodge, one of the best we have ever stayed in.Pet pack was a lovely touch.No outside furniture as advertised! Not a problem a s weather not really suitable for sitting out.
