Visitor Reviews of Salterns Village

Valerie, Hove, East Sussex
Date of stay: 27th July 2020
We just had a nice relaxing time. There is so much to see on the island and we couldn't see much of it in 1 week. We chose the island in particular to visit Osborne House, but only the grounds were open.We were so disappointed. Otherwise everywhere was nice. We liked the Monkey Haven.

The cottage was acceptable and tidy, but showing the effects of wear and tear and needs a good clean.
The decking is very slippery when wet and care needs to be taken in wet weather is especially for those unsteady on there feet or elderly.

Amazing holiday cottage, great beach and scenery. Only downside is the location if you do not have a car with. We missed a play area for the kids.

They have been refurbished to a good standard. Quite small but more than adequate for two adults and two dogs. The outside terrace is large too.

We stayed at in 2 x Salterns 4 cottages in Salterns village over the May 2016 bank holiday weekend as a large group of 15 adults and children.
The properties were superb. They were very well appointed, extremely clean and comfortable. The location is very quiet. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to stay there again.
It's close to the beach which is sand and pebble- the kids loved it.
There are two very good pub/ restaurants within walking distance.

We Loved Seaview, very clean accommodation, not much for young children to do on site. Would be great for bike rides. Long walks along beach.

Fab holiday super accommodation
Rose, Swindon
the holiday was great .very relaxing .
Andrew, Stoke On Trent
Accommodation clean and tidy. Good facilities within the accommodation. Only issue I would say was that the pillows on the beds were to soft and didn't really give much support. Other than that very good
Pauline, Stroud
Having to leave the car in a car park at the entrance to the cottages and having to walk on the gravel pathway to the cottage was irritating and tiresome. The noise of crunching while people or cars were driven on the gravel was annoying especially at night.
Louise, Gb
We had everything we needed in the cottage, a bit more cutlery would have been handy as we kept running out.
Emma, Wallingford
Nice and relaxed holiday
Karen, Preston
Nice little cottage on the edge of a nature reserve. The cottage was very clean and well maintained and in a good area for local trips.

We would've found a few extra items in the kitchen useful such as a dust pan and brush and the beds were a little hard but we wiuld still recommend as a good holiday option.
Claire, London
We loved it here, there were 2 downsides.
1. The fridge was too small
2. Not a lot to do with a 9 month old.
It was a wonderful break and when the baby is a little older we will definitely be coming back with more members of our family
