Caravan was well appointed with a large sofa enough for all 6 of us. We had to move the table to sit everyone as only 4 stools but wasnt a problem. Shower was lovely and hot, struggled to get the kids out of it. Rooms had loads of storage which was handy as it the twin rooms were small. The double room had an en-suite toilet which was very handy and a nice surprise. Kitchen had everything youd need: dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, oven, hob and grill. Large fridge freezer although no ice trays. There is no outdoor seating provided which would have been great but we used camping chairs so not an issue for us. Parking was always available close by and we used the EV charger whilst there which was handy.

3 days of hell - Early June 2024Where do I start?! :/This place is not a holiday haven in the slightest! It made my family so unwell for 3/4 weeks after. I doubt a crime scene investigator would stay here once the place was swabbed and analysed for bacteria, mould and toxins.Number 22 and Im sure many others on site ought to be gutted and refurbished. After a spend of £50+ at the B&M in Bude for much needed cleaning products, plug ins and carpet cleaner and 3 hours of intense cleaning this stay was made tolerable. Plastic mattresses and plastic curtains tied back with Velcro. Window netting that I doubt has ever been replaced or washed since the site opened. The late 80s/early 90s seating is putrid. The fridge and freezer are on their last legs and furniture is damaged and all kitchen items provided were filthy. Every item in the kitchen needed washing again. This place smelt like several smelly people have been using it as their toilet. I do not advise walking bare foot on the sticky carpets and floors throughout. The carpet smells of dried urine (canine or human, hard to tell) The lingering stench is so pungent it burns the inside of your nasal passage and brain for that matter! Expect chronic headaches, ear, nose and throat issues and sickness. Not a great place for dogs whatsoever and very noisy. The reason kids may love it is that they know no better! Definitely shouldnt have paid as much as we did for such revolting accommodation. Health and safety hazards throughout the whole park. How on earth this place passed assessments to be open is beyond me and I will be forwarding this review on.Sack the sight manager and retrain the cleaning staff (if there is any) This place has so much promise. Some serious money needs investing here to bring it all back to an acceptable standard for families to enjoy. If hoping to venture on foot to the beach or surroundings expect a solid 20 minute steep uphill walk as this site is located in a huge dip. Zero phone signal and forced for pay for wifi. Lots of expected addition costs, wifi, towels etcBetter of using that extra money and heading further towards Bude for something a little more acceptable.

The Caravan was not new, and our double bed was not very comfortable. There were sufficient cupboards for us to store our clothes in, and the cupboards in the shower room were adequate.

We stayed four nights in a gold caravan. The caravan was really lovely, spacious and had a well equipped kitchen. The caravans are well spaced out, dont feel on top of one another. Ours had a huge window in the lounge area, which gave us lovely views of the surrounding hills. Plenty of parking near the caravans, you cant park beside them, but along the roads which weaves throughout the park, there was always a space which was great. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We used the swimming pool every day, however there is a brown smudge of grime and gunge on the tiles, all the way around the water line, it needs a good clean! The water is also extremely misty, Im not sure why! The life guard was very friendly and welcoming, and gave us a recommendation of a good fish and chip shop in nearby Bude - The Mermaid. I can confirm that the chips here were delicious! Its worth noting that if you want to swim, you have to book a time slot the day before. This ensures the pool doesnt get overcrowded, which was good. There is no WI-FI or mobile phone signal in the caravans. The only WI-FI is in the entertainment club house. This did affect us as I like to research places to go in an evening, and look for things to do each day, usually based on what the weather will do the following day! This wasnt possible and our teenage son found it very frustrating too! I do believe that being off screens is an excellent thing, but Im not sure no connection is suitable for us. The location of the park is pretty. However you need to drive as it would be a long way to walk down to the coast along the country roads, most of which have no pavements. There is a shop onsite, but its quite pricey, however there is a Morrisons, Sainsburys and a Lidl in Bude.

We had a great time overall. Facilities were good and the unit was clean. One recommendation would be for the mattresses to be changed though- these are quite old and become uncomfortable after a few days

Small bedroom door wouldn't shut due to size of bed over hanging, so you would catch your toe each time. Plastic strip on the door kept coming off, and we had to mend the bathroom blind. Oven took ages to cook and the control knob wasn't right so it was guess work. There was only 3 of us and we only just had enough room sat at the table, and the sofa.

Could do with better mattresses. For a gold caravan, I expect to be comfortable. Mattresses are very springy. When I say springy, I mean springs digging into you.

A holiday park I would not go to again. The caravan was good but not the surroundings. I would not go to a John Fowler park again. Parking inadequate. No service or WiFi unless you walk 200 yards to restaurant/clubhouse. Very disappointing overall.

Yes the accommodation could do with a refresh, but everything we needed we had , and all was working.Staff were friendly and always helpful, we stayed a week and went down for the entertainment most evenings, played bingo and kids made friends. The kids entertainment was good through the day and even my older 2 enjoyed things 11&13 year old. Food was good on site too and everything reasonably priced on site too. Would of been made better had the sun shone more, but overall the park was lovely.

It would have been nice to have WI-FI in the caravan. We finished up using 1 phone as a hotspot, to enable another phone or IPad to be used.

The caravan was hardly on the stones keeping it level when we reported it we got told someone would come and look which no one did. There was grease marks on the walls, the plates, bowls skirting boards were all disgustingly dirty. The sofa was filthy, missing clips on the windows and the caravan looked nothing like what we had booked. The entertainment staff are lovely however dont think much to the people flying round on the golf carts (keep an eye out as they fly past your caravan so if you open your door and they go past youd be knocked over). Theres plenty on site to do however theres not much in walking distance to do everywhere is a bit of a drive. Not had the best experience and dont plan on going back.
