The caravan was clean and tidy, with everything you needed for your stay, the only thing I would say is that there is much space for your clothes, the is a small cupboard with a. Shelf and some hanging space, and some hooks on the wall, we did live mostly out of our suitcases, but tbh this didn't put us off wanting to revisit.We also had a hot tub with was clean and was checked on a daily basis. The views where great we had a view of the beach, some of the caravans did have better views but again that didn't put us off wanting to revisit.There isn't a shop or bar on sight but there is pubs, cafes and shops all in walking distance and a local Tesco's 5 minutes drive away.Overall a fab place to stay for a quite weekend/week away.

We booked to stay in one of the dog friendly lodges. Unfortunately we were put in a non dog friendly lodge which didnt have an enclosed outdoor area. This was due to a fault with the hot tub in our original lodge. The staff were kind enough to fix the fault ASAP, but it meant we couldnt fully enjoy the lodge with our dog. Once the fault was fixed, we were able to move into the dog friendly lodge a few days later, but it took effort and time from what was intended to be a relaxing break. On our last day, we were kindly allowed a slightly later checkout. The lodges themselves were cosy but quite dated in terms of decor and utilities.

The accommodation is fairly spacious and well laid out. It has everything you need with a fitted kitchen and sufficient crockery, cutlery, utensils and cookware. A tea towel, small washing up liquid and sponge/scouter is also provided. The bed was lovely and comfortable and the towels provided were of a good quality. It has central heating for the colder months and an electric fire. The shower was a nice size and powerful although the overall bathroom could be a bit tight for a larger person as its well laid out but small. The hot tub is a massive plus as is the furnished patio area. If you take you dog there is a small gate however would not stop a larger dog.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, we had the Larkstone Elegance lodge which was in a great location. The lodge itself was comfortable although could do with a little TLC.The highlight though is definitely the location if you're after a relaxing break.

Booked for a week stay and only stayed here for 3 nights before we packed up and left early. The room was lovely and clean but lacking storage, microwave or any decent cooking equipment. The view and cove were nice but there is literally nothing else around.We even got kicked out of the local pub restaurant at 8pm as they were closing as it was too quiet. Warning to anyone who visits here dont eat while sitting on the beach as the seagulls are muggers and will come and rob anything straight out of your hands.

Dont have cabin 1 as it isnt as advertised on the website. There are 2 cabins on this site with this description but they are not the same but the price is the same.It has no view from the outside seating area when sat down or from the hottub due to opaque screening. The outside area is small and cramped and we didnt use it all holiday.

Waking up to a sea view is wonderful. The staff keep these boutique beach huts well maintained and if you should find any problems they are sorted very quickly. They have always been spotless when we have arrived. We love coming here and will be back again.

We had a lovely week at Beach Cove Coastal Retreat. We stayed in No. 8 and had an amazing sea view, we were lucky that we had 1.5 days of sun, we spent our first full day at Woolacombe beach basking in the sun. Ilfracombe itself is quite run down and very small. Where we stayed was definitely the best place in Ilfracombe. Our hut was very clean and we loved the generous patio area to sit out in the evenings. Only negatives are the size of the bathroom & bedroom, they are very small which is fine for a day or two but not ideal for a weeks stay, and the spiders, there were 3 in total and one even made its way home with us! (Somehow found its way into one of our bags)! Overall we had a lovely stay and we were sad to leave, we will definitely be returning. Perhaps we will treat ourselves to a hut with a hot tub next time!
