Royal Deeside Woodland Lodges are beautifully located on the outskirts of the Cairngorms National Park and would be ideally suited to couples and families looking for a peaceful base with outdoor activities like walking on the doorstep.
Balmoral and the Whisky Trail are only 15 miles away and Aberdeen is just 35 miles with a host of bars, shops, restaurants and cafes as well as a great sense of history and culture.
The tranquil lodges have a secluded position in the grounds of Loch Kinord hotel which gives the added bonus of access to a fine dining restaurant and whisky bar. Fishing and golf are available too.
The Deeside Lodge is a lovely option with 2 bedrooms and open plan living. One unique feature of these lodges is the nature reserve right outside with wonderful lochside walks from the door.
Landmark Theme Park is a popular family attraction in Scotland and is a great choice for those with children of varied ages. The site is packed with attractions to keep the whole family amused. Landmark is rather unique as a theme park as it is based around nature. Activities include Tree Topping and Rock climbing although there are also some more traditional theme park rides such as a log flume. The park is abundant with nature including Red Squirrels and Clydesdale Horses and there is also a new Pinewood Grill for tasty snacks and a Gift Shop.
The amazing Loudoun Castle Theme Park is the largest in Scotland taking up a staggering 500 acres of glorious countryside. The park is suitable for visitors of all ages and has an excellent choice of rides including thrilling Rollercoasters. The site also hosts some fantastic family shows including the popular 'Walk the Plank' High Dive Show. This place is much more than a theme park though, and younger children in particular will love the Dougal McDougal's farm area where the inhabitants include friendly goats, pigs and llamas as well as rabbits and other small pets.
