Sand le Mere Holiday Village is a popular, family friendly holiday park with a fantastic location near Withernsea on the Yorkshire coast. The park has an elevated setting and boasts lovely coastal views. A sandy beach is just a short stroll away and the seaside towns of Filey and Scarborough are within easy reach.

The park has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and there are plenty of grassy areas for children to play. The park is mainly populated with families during the summer months who come here for the good facilities and easy access to some of Yorkshires best attractions.

The park is well set out and during the summer months the outdoor pool and sun terraces are where most people hang out. There is also a Jacuzzi and steam room for the grown ups while children can enjoy the play areas, amusements, crazy golf and 10 pin bowling. The site has recently had heavy investment in both the accommodation and facilities and everything is of a very high standard.

In the evening, guests can grab a bite to eat from the cafe or take away and then head to the clubhouse for the entertainment. The site also has a separate bar serving food.
Local attractions include the Sealife centre at Scarborough, the stunning beach at Withernsea and Whitby Abbey.

Accommodation is in modern holiday homes, all of which are spacious and comfortable. The Viking and Viking Deluxe caravans sleep 4-6 and have one double and one twin bedroom. The Viking Deluxe also has central heating to make the caravan cosy all year round. Norman holiday homes are larger and can sleep up to 8 people. These stylish caravans have one double bedroom and two twin. All have all of the essentials for self catering.

"Families will enjoy a day trip to the nearby DEEP! aquarium."

Fun Days Out in Yorkshire Moors & Coast

Jorvik Viking Centre is a fun and educational attraction offering visitors the chance to learn all about the Viking-Age city of Jorvik. Thanks to the Archaeologists from York Archaeological Trust the amazing houses, workshops and backyards of the Viking-Age city of Jorvik are on display and give a clear insight to the way of life all those years ago.  The site aims to offer an interactive experience with the state of the art time capsule and the blacksmith's furnace being the top attractions.

If you are enjoying a lodge break in the Yorkshire Moors and Coast then a day trip to the Scarborough Sea Life and Marine Sanctuary highly recommended. This centre is one of the regions most popular attractions and is educational as well as fun. Visitors will enjoy a journey beneath the waves, meeting many strange, beautiful and fascinating creatures of the deep. As well as mighty sharks and beautiful rays guests can get up close to some more common creatures including star fish and can also meet the otters, seals and penguins at feeding time. The site also has children's play area and picnic tables as well as a restaurant and souvenir shop. Family tickets cost 46.80 but the Tourist Information Centres in Scarborough, Whitby or Filey often offer fantastic discounts.

Excellent holiday, great facilities, perhaps only area of improvement would be cleanliness and food quality in the bar. Also selection in the onsite shop was limited not a problem for us as we went into Withernsea but maybe if anyone didn't have transport.

Loved the location ideally would have liked better entertainment aimed towards 7-13yr olds
Janine
We love coming here and our 4 year old always asks to come back. The Staff are great and can't do enough for you and any issues are rectified immediately. Would recommend Sand le Mere to anyone. There is plenty to keep little ones occupied and in a safe environment.
Pam
been in the lodge a few times but a bit disappointed this time dirty frying pan boiler broke and fridge leaked but apart from that would still be there next year
Kelly
The staff are so friendly and accommodating. I was on my own with my 7 week old and 8 year who has additional needs and because he suffers from extream anxiety he found it difficult to join big groups but the staff were willing to do one to one session for him. If I needed a bottle warming the girl's on the cafe counter would come over collect the bottle and take it to warm so I didn't have to run about. Just a lovely place so tidy and clean and great facilities. I was also very impressed that they now have a sensory room. Highly recommend.
John
No complaints. Caravan extremely spacious. Clean and everything worked well.
ELIZABETH
On arrival we noted that the site is maintained to a high standard. The reception staff were very welcoming and organised with our keys ready and only took minutes to be checked in. The caravan was very clean and the bedding was white, fresh, clean and crisp. The staff welcomed pets which was nice as it was our dog's first holiday and she wasn't restricted around the park.
Tracey
Enjoyed my holiday but only issue was the pool, the attendants would switch off the splash zone for the kids about an hour before time was up. We felt rushed to leave
Sharon
Absolutely loved our stay here. Very clean hotel, friendly staff, great food!
